This is nothing new, but 3d New England will have some highly recruited middies in the '27 cycle with Card and Belmont Hill's John Lynch, who has already been highlighted a handful of times here on Prep Lacrosse. At 6'3, Card is a big and imposing athlete who is a physical force at midfield but has the skills and slickness of an attackman. Possessing excellent hands, the lefty proved to be incredibly difficult to slow down with a full head of a steam. On Sunday, he scored on a variety ways, finding the net on a hammer of a stepdown, a beauty of a goal through traffic on a wing dodge, then a nasty backhanded wraparound late in the day. The fluidity with which Card moves with his frame is noteworthy, and he's got a rather advanced skill set as a dodger along with tremendous power and accuracy on his shot.

Plop down on the sidelines for one of O'Neal's games, and you'll quickly notice that he has a motor and compete level that is flat-out different from most of his peers. A jack-of-all-trades type, O'Neal seems to be the heart and soul of his team. He scraps for face-offs, makes his presence felt in the middle field (despite his 5'7 frame), stays on offense and plays tough defense. Near the end of a highly competitive game against 3d New England, O'Neal picked up a key groundball late in the contest and came up with a key caused turnover. It's too early to say what he'll be recruited as, but there's so much to like about what he brings to the table.

The proof is in the pudding - it's almost as if there's a type with Georgia attackmen: super quick, skilled, a tad undersized, and tough as can be. By the looks of it, Schnatmeier certainly fits the mold. The bouncy left-handed dodger turned the corner and finished at a high rate on Sunday, and often took a beating in the process, soaking contact and finishing more often than not. Turning heads with his first step, body control, and savvy playing style, he's a highly capable attack prospect who racked up 50 goals and 25 assists as a freshman while averaging more than a hat trick per game. He's got range on his shot, but didn't have to show it too much, and was a key piece in 3d Georgia's success and ability to make it tight against formidable opponents.

Myre, another athletic lefty midfielder, had quite a bit of success this past weekend and looks to be a promising '27 prospect out of the DMV. A tall downhill dodger who consistently gets back to the middle of the field, Myre's shot on the run was dialed in on Sunday and helped him have multiple games with more than a goal. He often utilized a hitch move or a split dodge up top to create separation, but also demonstrated a knack for making plays under duress when the slide came his way. Additionally, he provided a boost off of the wings and was smart with the ball in his stick, identifying the right times to take his man and seldom forcing it with below-average shots.

Perriello put together another impressive fall weekend and continued to show off his ability as an athletic two-way middie who empties the tank every game. He may not be very big right now, but Perriello is tough and has an aggressive mindset when sticking his nose in the dirt and coming up with groundballs. He got knocked down on one goal late in the day, then went right back to work on the wings and locked things down on defense, where he sits in his stance and moves laterally at an exceptional level. I love what he's able to do between the lines and the competitive energy that he plays with - Perriello plays hard yet stays disciplined and knows how to stack up impactful plays in all facets.

Dipping into the ISL for a goalie tends to be a great idea - even better when they're 6'2, 200-plus pounds, and left-handed like Alger. While his size is the first thing that stands out, his ability to lead a defense and come up big in key moments was just as noteworthy on Sunday. His voice was loud but I never felt like he was talking just to talk, like plenty of goalies do. Poised in and out of the cage, Alger did a great job of corralling low offerings, cleanly caught the ball, and confidently led clears with wise and precise passes. Set to be a three-year starter for Tabor, Alger and poles like Thomas Mitchell, Alec Albers and Mark Mattaliano, among others, make up one of the better '27 defensive units I've seen so far.
