The California Interscholastic Federation crowned five State Champions in 2024: St. Ignatius 21-2 (Central Coast), St. Margaret's Episcopal 19-2 (Southern), Torrey Pines 17-3 (San Diego), Marin Catholic 18-5 (North Coast), & Vista del Lago 18-3 (Sac Joaquin). CIF Finalists: Sacred Heart Prep (17-7), Loyola - Los Angeles (17-6), La Costa Canyon (13-6), De La Salle (17-6), Oak Ridge (18-5); & others also enjoyed successful seasons...   #1 St. Ignatius started their season strong by beating Marin Catholic. They continued to have a remarkable season earning notable wins against Torrey Pines, St. Paul's (MD), De La Salle, & Loyola - Los Angeles. St. Ignatius capped off their season by beating a tough Sacred Heart Prep by a score of 9 to 5 in the Central Coast Championship. This was Wildcat's third victory over the Gators in 2024. St. Ignatius ran the table in California beating two of the other four CIF Champions during regular season play. St. Ignatius' two losses on the season were from out-of-state opponents. This includes the unanimous #1 Team in the Country, Lawrenceville (NJ), & Long Island powerhouse Chaminade (NY).   California's #2 ranked Torrey Pines continued their traditional ways, winning their sixth straight San Diego Championship! The Falcon's only loss in California was to the aforementioned #1 St. Ignatius in the regular season. Torrey Pines dropped an additional two games to out-of-state teams, including MIAA blueblood - St. Paul's (MD), & a nationally known Highland Park (TX). Torrey Pine's signature wins on the season include Cathedral Catholic, Bishop's School, Dallas Jesuit (TX), Santa Fe Christian, Loyola-Los Angeles, Foothill-Santa Ana, Sacred Heart Prep, & La Costa Canyon (twice), including in the San Diego Championship game!   California's #3 ranked St. Margaret's Episcopal won the Southern Section Championship against the runner-up, Cubs in a tight game with a score of 10 to 9! This victory was the second time the Tartans beat Loyola-Los Angeles in the 2024 season. The Tartan's only two losses included out-of-state MIAA School, Mount St. Joseph (MD), & a mid-season head-scratcher against an in-state opponent, Santa Fe Christian. St. Margaret's triumphant season included other notable victories against La Costa Canyon, Bishop's School, Redwood, Foothill-Santa Ana, Santa Margarita Catholic, Westlake, & Mater Dei (twice)!   Marin Catholic finished top 5 in the state & was crowned with the North Coast Championship in 2024. The Wildcats from the North Coast had the most losses out of any CIF State Championship team. This includes out-of-state losses against Chatham (NJ) & Rumson-Fair Haven (NJ), two blue-collar public school programs out on the East Coast. Additionally, Marin Catholic lost three games in the state to #1 St. Ignatius, Mater Dei, & Sacred Heart Prep. Marin Catholic's journey included wins over (Sac Joaquin Champions) Vista del Lago, Foothill-Santa Ana, Redwood (twice), & De La Salle (twice) including in the North Coast Championship game!   California is home to nine returning players who have been named All-American across the Golden State's six regions: Central Coast, Greater Los Angeles, Northern, Orange County, San Diego, & Silicon Valley. These Golden State Greats are potential impact players at the next level:    [player_tooltip player_id='14570' first='Stu' last='Gates'] earned US Lacrosse All-American (CA-Silicon Valley) as a junior in 2024. He received 1st Team All-WCAL for the second consecutive season after putting up 79 points with 41 goals & 38 assists in 2023 as a sophomore. Stu is a marvelous shooter from the mid-range with a fundamental overhand shot. He has a quiet stick in the sense that he makes it look easy to turn the corner & finish with either hand. Gates is deceptive in his body language as he can dodge past a pole or find a spot without the ball to become dangerous. He is patient during play & surveys the field with suitable vision to assist teammates. Stu is analytical & intelligent as the leader of the Wildcats offense. He can generate offense without seeming to break a sweat. Gates has been running the show on a loaded roster. Verbally committed to Dartmouth.     [player_tooltip player_id='14562' first='Matt' last='McKane'] earned US Lacrosse All-American (CA-Northern) as a sophomore in 2023. He posted a 70% save percentage during his shortened junior season due to injury in 2024. Matt is balanced in his movements, fluid pipe to pipe. He challenges shooters in close & comes up with some unbelievable recovery saves on the doorstep. McKane is athletic out of the crease where he can use his feet & roll away from pressure to clear the ball or drop it in the bucket for his teammates streaking in transition. He is serviceable out of a Titan look where he can check to help create turnovers. This effective play helps McKane get the ball back to the offense playing behind in a short-time situation. Matt is consistently lights out in goal as one of California's biggest headliners. He was one of the first players to commit in the 2025 class which is a testament to how skilled he is. A consensus 4-star prospect who is considered a top player in his class. Verbally committed to Notre Dame.     Jack Barton earned 1st Team All WCAL in 2024 as a junior. In 2023 he earned 2nd Team All WCAL. Jack has been a constant security blanket for the Gators starting since his Freshman year in 2022. He is a huge presence with a physical nature & heavy chop. Barton is an anchor down low with a keen awareness to steal possessions via chase-outs to the end line. He uses his length to keep his stick in the lane & intercept a skip pass. Jack plays aggressively as the adjacent help, fighting to rotate & deliver a booming hit. He is a heads-up defender who collapses on players trying to turn the corner. Jack is consistent off the ground & is a noticeable help in the clear. He can use his speed to run it out & he has a sweet jump cut to evade riding attackers. Barton is light on his feet considering his size with a good roll to breakthrough double teams or pressure in the clearing game. He typically gives it up safely once he advances past the mid-line but is capable of taking it the distance for a dunk as well as finishing his opportunities in a slow break 6-on-5 or 5-on-4. Jack is a natural left-hander who can deny the right-handed alley dodgers from getting the ball through X. He sets up nicely in the middle of an invert zone where he can designate himself on the crease to slide & hammer hands forcing caused turnovers. A consensus 4-star prospect. Verbally committed to North Carolina.     John Prior earned US Lacrosse All-American (CA-San Diego) in 2024 with 39 goals & 37 assists totaling 76 points as a junior. In 2023 he recorded 35 goals & 34 assists on 47% shooting. As a freshman in 2022, Prior produced 25 goals & 12 assists on 56% shooting. He scooped up 65 career ground balls in addition to causing 34 turnovers so far. John is a tough-nosed, high-percentage playmaker. He can initiate from any part of the field & is slippery in the two-man game working in pairs. Prior can pick & pop without the ball & works well on the inside. He will delegate from X & deliver passes that put his teammates in a position to capitalize. Prior will toast a short-stick match-up from the high wing, in an inverted set, & he can even bring the heat from the left wing. John is a versatile weapon giving maximum effort on the defensive end. He is a trusted leader who was named Team Captain as a junior which does not happen a lot at Torrey Pines. Verbally committed to the Army.     [player_tooltip player_id='44828' first='Joe' last='Ligas'] earned 1st Team All Sierra Foothill League in addition to being named the SFL MVP in 2024. He was a Team Captain as well as MVP for Whitney as a sophomore. Joe is a technical defender with an ideal frame. He is fundamentally sound in his positioning & breakdown skills. Ligas can match feet with the quickest attackmen & dictate their movement with impeccable check timing as well as physical engagement. He is balanced in his backpedal with rapid shuffling skills allowing him to close the gate & turn attackers back below the goal line extended. Joe wins his matchup early & often with quick piston-like feet. He is mature off of the ball keeping a head on a swivel while maintaining his stick on his man. Ligas is a strong presence with exceptional stick skills. He is in gloves or passing lanes knocking the ball down & scooping it up. Joe is instinctive in passing to the head man up-field & he runs the field with speed. He is an all-around sensational defender who rarely beats himself. [player_tooltip player_id='129208' first='Tripp' last='King'] earned US Lacrosse All-American (CA-Greater Los Angeles) in 2024. The freshman phenom scored 59 goals & 29 assists for 88 points. Tripp led his team in both scoring categories on his way to being named the Cub's offensive MVP. He was listed as 1st Team All CIF SS in addition to being named the Mission League's Offensive Player of the Year. King, has already been elected as a Team Captain for 2025 which is unusual for a sophomore. He is a special talent & skilled with both hands; making everyone around him better with his cerebral play. Tripp is a gunner that can hit from the point, hitch top-side, or use an extended dodge to beat you with either hand. He is smart off the ball & can finish on the backside with his left for a one-timer. King does a fantastic job leaning in on defenders with excellent stick protection. He will get skinny to slice through a double team & bury the ball with a commanding finish! King is a poised competitor who carries the ball with grace. He is growing & developing with a rare mindset that is level-headed yet determined to be the best!     Daniel Schaeffer is a Team Captain for the De La Salle Spartans. He has a career total of 13 goals, 11 assists, & 68 ground balls so far. Daniel's value is not measured in statistics as much as what he is willing to do for his team. He has breakaway speed running a sub 4.5 in the forty-yard dash & is one of the fastest players in California. Schaeffer is persistent on the face-off wing & is amazing in between the lines. He brings his hard hat defensively & stands up dodgers on the goal line extended preventing them from gaining leverage in close. Daniel can throw two-handed wrap checks or a crowbar to deny attackers from getting topside. He is effective on defense & makes a major impact with speed in transition. Schaeffer can step in from up top as well as catch & finish on the inside working in a triangle offense. He uses well-placed shots down the alley. Daniel is a fundamentally sound player who changes levels with his shot. He looks to make the correct lacrosse play off the dodge & can hit a single or skip it through the defense with a home-run pass for an assist. Schaeffer is a glue guy who has a tough & gritty mindset. Verbally committed to Maryland.     Lance Biagioli is a Team Captain for the Dons who earned 2nd Team All-CIF SD in consecutive seasons (2023 & 2024). He displays tireless effort & athleticism causing turnovers by pressing out making it difficult for his opponent to catch the ball. Lance swarms his match-up with an active stick as they plan to receive a pass. He has similar footwork to an NFL cornerback with the propensity to throw yard-sale checks. Biagioli can line up on the face-off wing or take an occasional draw. He is productive off the ground & will push in transition to create goal-scoring opportunities. Lance is most effective at patrolling the middle of the field where he uses speed & a high motor to dominate with his long stick. He has fundamental positioning & can adjust quickly on the fly. Biagioli is a student of the game who recognizes his opponent's tendencies within the flow of the game. A consensus 3-star prospect. Verbally committed to Boston.     [player_tooltip player_id='18409' first='Joey' last='Levenberg'] is a beast at the defensive-midfield position. He has a career total of 4 goals, 9 assists, 60 groundballs, & 34 caused turnovers. Joey can take the occasional face-off where he is expected to give coaches a 50/50 chance based on his ability to brawl. He is a luxury to have on defense specifically gaining an advantage as a left-handed player. Levenberg keeps his feet moving while getting a nice lift on the butt end of a dodger's stick. He is especially tough to beat down the right alley as he throws a vicious seat belt check. Joey is unphased with pick-play as he demonstrates a willingness to get through or the versatility to switch & accept an attacker's challenge. He shows up in the heart of the defense delivering pile-driving hits! Levenberg does a nice job showing adjacent from X & is quick to recover getting back out to his match-up along the perimeter. He is extremely physical by nature but knows when to be smart & win the foot race to the next contact zone. Joey is valuable in the clear where he can attack space quickly & draw penalties using a punt-return style to leg it. He is an able passer & capable of coming away with an assist. Levenberg subs out of the box in transition to hawk down poles that cross the mid-line & create a loose ball scenario. A consensus 4-star prospect. Verbally committed to Johns Hopkins.     Jack Cudzil earned 1st Team All-Trinity League & 2nd Team All-County in 2024. He was named Mater Dei's Defensive MVP with 40 ground balls & 15 caused turnovers as a junior. Jack is a fierce competitor who plays with an edge. He throws crushing checks & isn't afraid to punch his match-up in the chest legally. Cudzil is flexible between the close & long-stick midfield position(s). He is noteworthy off of the ground & is someone you can count on to finish plays in transition. Hustling in between the lines & clearing the ball is Jack's forte. Jack shows composure on the face-off wing, taking the proper angle to cause havoc for the opposition's draw-man. He plays under control in coverage & has striking anticipation with his lefty back check. Cudzil seems to perform his best against high-level competition. He has a clear understanding of defensive fundamentals & uses his speed & lateral quickness to his advantage. A consensus 3-star prospect. Verbally committed to UPenn.     [player_tooltip player_id='40428' first='Tanner' last='Olrich'] is a do-it-all midfielder & an integral part of the St. Ignatius Wildcats (# 1 team in California). He is a super dangerous player who has a considerable influence on the game regardless of where he is on the field. Tanner runs with great strides & raises his team with hustle plays. He will chase down the ball & get in the hole during transition defense where he can prevent fast-break opportunities filing into the backside. Olrich provides watchful support on defense as he can lock off his match-up below goalline or play in the grey area to pick off passes. He can steal the ball with a takeaway & can go the distance in the clear. Tanner is a well-rounded dodger with a smooth roll-back. He can shoot with both hands feet set or out of his move on the run. Olrich is an alert passer specifically dangerous feeding the crease from behind in the invert. He is a player that will work full field, end-line to end-line. A consensus 3-star prospect. [player_tooltip player_id='82268' first='Jack' last='Ryan'] earned 1st Team All Coastal League gathering 56 ground balls, 40 caused turnovers, & adding 5 goals for the Knights in 2024. He started as a freshman in 2023 contributing 70 ground balls, 29 caused turnovers, 2 goals & 1 assist. Jack is a regimented defender who can confine his match-up from the wing or behind the goal. He has a mean streak & is known for beating up the ball carrier with heavy slap checks. Ryan does a fine job sitting on the roll-back & throwing a wrap-check that can helicopter a stick to the ground & dislodge the ball. He is attentive in play & systematically gets a two-slide before making his move to fire. Jack is covert in the two-man game where he can jump the pick in a safe zone behind the goal. He is quick to strike if given the opportunity in the transition game. Ryan is more of a pure close defenseman but he can double-pole on the wing of the face-off where he adds his left-handed presence. A consensus 4-star prospect. Verbally committed to the Army.     [player_tooltip player_id='16664' first='Johan' last='Van Oast'] earned 1st Team All WCAL in 2023. He won 210 draws for a 60% rate & picked up 82 ground balls as a freshman. In 2024 the sophomore continued his winning ways facing off at 57% (175/307) with 78 ground balls. Johan is a specialty player who helps the Wildcats compete on a national level as St. Ignatius is known as a top-25 program. He has unreal counter moves with a dynamic sprawl. Van Oast will pinch & pop forward for instant offense in the 4v3 or flat break. He will hit the point man with a scheduled pass but if he barrels down the middle far enough he can get steam on his shot! Johan is systematic in getting the ball into his cross. He can exit with a swim move over his opponent to push the pace. Van Oast is quick on the whistle & battles to box out if he needs help from the wing. Verbally committed to Michigan.     [player_tooltip player_id='35166' first='Tate' last='Sedlachek'] earned 1st Team All-MCAL in 2024 as a Sophomore scoring 44 goals & adding 41 helpers for a total of 85 points. He received 2nd Team All-MCAL recognition as a freshman in 2023. Tate is a savvy ball carrier who can square up defenders & shake them out of their shoes. He can pull it from the point on the break & is equally dangerous with his left-hand shot. Sedlachek is a seasoned slasher who is developing quarterback skills within the offense. He is a proficient passer from X & can find the throwback rolling over a pick in the two-man game. Tate possesses a powerful build & is potentially the strongest player at Marin Catholic. He is considered to be one of the hardest workers in the program with the highest ceiling. A consensus top 100 player & 4-star prospect in the 2026 class. Verbally committed to Harvard.     Carson Miks earned 1st Team All-EBAL (2023 & 2024) along with being named 2nd Team All-EBAL as the lone freshman in 2022. He was selected as a Team Captain both years as a sophomore & junior in addition to earning MVP honors for the Mustangs. Carson recorded 90 ground balls, 21 goals, & 31 caused turnovers in 2023. He is a tenacious defender with a strapping V-hold. Miks gets through picks & runs the rail with proper footwork. He is a rangy pole who has takeaway skills with a ferocious over-the-head check. Carson uses his length on the man-down unit where he can put his stick up in the drag lane & play 2v1 with a hard scrape back to the ball. He is a multifaceted player who can play close, up top, & will get down to take a draw. Miks is comfortable crossing the mid-line going from defense to offense in the clearing game. He is a definite scoring threat with a pole as he can pass & shoot with authority. A consensus 3-star prospect. Verbally committed to Marquette.     [player_tooltip player_id='37495' first='Max' last='Ripple'] earned 1st Team All WCAL with 61 points in 2024. He received 2nd Team All WCAL as a freshman with 63 points (47 goals & 16 assists) in 2023. Max gets a remarkable lift on his shot from the left wing & can mix in a fundamental overhand shot that changes levels with velocity. He is a sharp left-handed attacker who can float over the top of the midfield for a step down. Ripple shows an uncanny ability to finish with guys on his back drawing the dead ball foul that is valuable for extra-man offense. He is always presenting a target with the stick by his ear, demanding the ball inside for a quick-stick finish! Max is evasive in tight, typically avoiding contact & frustrating lost defenders. He can dodge a short stick aggressively in the invert, showcasing the ability to feed in the lower left quadrant or turn the corner with his right. Ripple is tough on the ride, especially box side where he holds his ground rather than playing a sub-game. He picks off passes & scoops up ground balls forcing the defense to scramble in uneven situations. Max shares the ball quickly making the extra pass if his teammates are in a better position to score in the unsettled play. A consensus 4-star prospect. Verbally committed to Michigan.     [player_tooltip player_id='82304' first='Tom' last='Lowe'] accumulated 44 ground balls, 25 caused turnovers, & 7 points as a sophomore in 2024 (13 games). He is a menacing defender who presses out on the perimeter making dodgers uncomfortable. Tom uses a variety of checks like the can-opener to derail the dodger & send sticks flying into the air. He imposes his will in between the lines where he can impact the game in a variety of ways. Lowe can change the pace of a game by taking face-offs where he stands up & hammers the draw-man with constant pressure off of the whistle. He is consistent off the ground & clever in transition. Tom often finds the lefty-attacker for an assist with a simple draw & dump. He runs the field well & can stay with the play as a trailing middie during a slow break. Lowe is a rover who can cross the mid-line & jump weak ball handlers in the ride. He displays poise with & without the ball. Tom has a knack for playing off-ball adjacent & on the point of a diamond where he can pass off cutters inside-out. He has admirable closeout speed & is disruptive by getting nuggets with his stick in the passing lane. A consensus 3-star prospect. Verbally committed to Upenn.     Jackson Schaffer put up 42 points with 22 goals & 20 assists in 2023 as a sophomore. He is a balanced scoring threat who is determined to play his best during the clutch moment. Jackson does most of his damage from behind the goal where he can operate efficiently transferring the ball to the backside or dodging for himself. He is an incredibly fast attacker with great shiftiness & change of direction. Schaffer gets north/south in a hurry & will fight for topside with either hand. He is an adaptable dodger up top in the midfield area using a combination of moves like a split into a roll to free his hands down the alley. Jackson flourishes sneaking from X or stepping into a shot from the right wing. He can toe drag through traffic, swim, hitch topside, or break down defenders with an inside roll to finish in front of the cage. Schaffer exhibits relentless effort & dedication on the ride. He manufactures assist opportunities after picking up a loose ball in the middle of the field. Verbally committed to the Air Force.     Edward McElroy earned 1st Team All-CIF SD in 2024 & was named the Coastal League Player of the Year. The junior made 13.8 saves per game & accounted for 248 total saves (67.4%). Edward received 1st Team All Coastal League as a sophomore with 10.4 saves per game, 187 saves total (68%). He is a standout goalie who can catch the ball clean & drive the ball down the field. Edward plays a medium arc with a wide base & is sturdy in the one-on-one. He makes the routine save while stealing a couple on the doorstep. McElroy has a strong step to his stick side & he tracks the ball with ease. He does a good job punching his hands to the corners & keeping his body position square to the ball. Edward is not afraid to step out & challenge a low-angle crank shooter. He is tough to beat up top & will work to get low. McElroy throws his teammates open in the clear but does not force the issue if it is not there. He is patient with the ball using his four seconds in the crease & will hit a check down middie to leg it out. Verbally committed to Bowdoin.     [player_tooltip player_id='48311' first='Dominic' last='Perfetti'] is a colossal athlete who was only able to play in 7 Varsity games this past spring due to an overlap with his Basketball season. He is arguably the tallest person to ever step on a Lacrosse field. Dominic is the epitome of length & range with the ability to extend out on the perimeter. He is a tremendous defender who can build a wall on the backside, pick off passes, scoop up ground balls, & make plays in transition. Perfetti is a versatile weapon with a background playing short-stick as well. He is an assertive ball carrier with polished handles & smooth stickwork. Dominic has a good sense of team defense with the ability to throw checks & keep his feet moving. He is an elegant takeaway artist as he can go over the head with ease & throw kayak checks while running full speed. It is not uncommon to see him running the field assisting teammates or calling his shot. Perfetti is an extremely unique player because he can guard the ball anywhere on the field with a pole as well as initiate in an offensive set with a short stick. A consensus top-100 player in the 2026 class & 4-star prospect. Verbally committed to Syracuse.     Owen Majit earned 1st Team All-CIF SS in 2024. He piled up 59 points with 36 goals & 23 assists as a junior in 14 games. He is a cunning finisher with a deceptive stick & quick release. Owen is a magician from the low base & the right wing where he has the aptitude to stick it in the corner with little to no angle. He is a ready dodger who will make a quick split & get down the alley for a left-handed shot. Majit has the heart of a lion & is someone the team can rely on in a back alley type of scrum. He has no fear around the crease & is willing to pick up the trash for a backbreaking garbage goal. Owen has underrated speed as he can sweep over the top & swim through traffic for a goal. He has an excellent understanding of the game & is a willing passer. Majit is a highly touted scorer who gels well with teammates. He has good vision & all the necessary skills needed to operate on the perimeter. A consensus 3-star prospect. Verbally committed to Bowdoin.     [player_tooltip player_id='82254' first='Foster' last='Huang'] earned 2nd Team All-CIF SD in 2024 with Torrey Pines (#2 in California). He won 250 face-offs (61%), scooped up 141 ground balls, & added 5 goals as a sophomore. Foster competed with Westlake as a freshman where he won 230 face-offs (68%), picked up 133 ground balls, 4 goals, & 5 assists in 2023. He uses a supreme clamp to govern the game, giving his team a significant possession advantage. Huang is the total package on the draw. He can win it for himself, he can pop it forward for a fast-break, & he will go back to the goalie setting up a clear. Foster is a solid athlete who can run through traffic with superb stick protection to draw penalties. He is heady coming up with the ball off the X & hastily finding the open man. A consensus 3-star prospect. Verbally committed to Syracuse.     [player_tooltip player_id='16310' first='Giacomo' last='Chapman'] earned 1st Team All-WCAL in 2024 scoring 29 goals & adding 34 assists for 63 total points. He picked up 23 groundballs as a junior for the Wildcats. Giacomo is praised as the lifeblood of the team & has been named a senior team captain for the 2025 season. He is a natural playmaker who can fit into any offensive scheme with a high lax IQ. Chapman is a balanced player who makes good decisions from up top or behind the goal in an invert. He knifes his shoulder through his dodge as he accelerates into scoring space. Giacomo wiggles his way underneath using an S dodge or he can sweep over the top using his speed. He keeps good form with his stick as a ball carrier which allows him to feed with accuracy & shoot with a quick release on the run. Chapman is a proven dodger against poles, getting himself a goal with either hand. A consensus 3-star prospect. Verbally committed to Middlebury.     [player_tooltip player_id='44826' first='Ross' last='Jacobsen'] earned 2nd Team All-CIF SD for the second straight season in 2024 with 68 total points. He led the Falcons in goal-scoring as a sophomore, putting away 54 goals & contributing 14 assists. Ross is a methodical dodger using rapid change of direction to create space & free his hands to shoot or pass. He is a sure-handed finisher on the low crease where he can dip & dunk with ease. Jacobsen is a sharpshooter who is averaging an elite shooting percentage of 51% through his first two years as a Varsity starter. He has superior spatial awareness that allows him to find soft spots in the defense where he can catch & shoot. Ross has a viable left & uses proven dodging patterns like the question mark to be effective in multiple areas of the field. He has the stick talent to return the favor to his teammates. Jacobsen is a dependable feeder sweeping off of a pick topside or facilitating from below the goal line in a traditional attacker's role. He is credited with a freakishly hard work ethic. He gets down either alley or he can S-dodge to get underneath a defender to increase his angle. Garrett does a nice job creating separation out of his dodge & opening the door for his teammates to be successful off of a pass.     Henry Casani earned 1st Team All Mission League twice in 2023 & 2024. He has been a Varsity starter since freshman year in 2022. Henry has immense upside to develop considering he only plays Lacrosse for 4-5 months out of the year. The rest of the year he is training with the football team as a starting MLB. Casani moves with a unique flow & has been credited with running a 4.6 forty-yard dash. He is a natural lefty who is a different type of athlete with his size, strength & speed. Henry is physically robust & guards the ball well keeping himself in the path of the offensive opponent. He is an absolute unit that was recognized with the Cub's hardest hitter award the past two seasons. Casani slides & rotates to put the opposition in a body bag. He is disciplined, leading with the stick & following through with his shoulder. Henry is fantastic in a help position & often comes up with a CTO+GB combo. He is a threat in transition with a rocket for a shot that has been clocked at 106 MPH! Verbally committed to North Carolina.     Jack Berg earned 2nd Team All Coastal League as a junior in 2024. He is a 3x Varsity starter who has been logging miles since Freshman year in 2022. Jack spent his first two seasons with Cathedral Catholic (2022 & 2023) before transferring to Santa Fe Christian (2024). He is a player who takes pride in his defense. Berg is a competitive midfielder who is tough off the ground & spectacular in transition. He consistently wins his match-up on both sides of the ball making him one of the top two-way midfielders in the State. Jack has all of the tools necessary to play the game full-field, starting with wing-play at the face-off X. He is fast on the perimeter, he lowers his shoulder to make hits, & he throws a nice wrap-check to cause turnovers. Berg is developing into a prominent offensive threat who can play within an offense set & draw slides against a short stick. He is a competent shooter on the run who can beat his man as well as help from a slide. Berg is effective down the alley or off an inverted situation. Happy Rosenberg earned 2nd Team All-WCAL in 2024. He plays a physical brand of defense on the ball with nimble footwork as he establishes positioning to protect the goal. Happy is vigilant in the hole where he works inside-out playing his angles brilliantly. He slides with conviction & rarely gets caught in no man's land. Rosenberg is left-hand dominant & is dependable on the low base. He is a hoover off the ground through high-traffic volume & immediately looks to clear down the line. Happy can sprout up the field, roll away to redirect, or safely lob an over with his non-dominant hand. He is a handy player who can churn out a win in the face-off department. Rosenberg's experience against top competition & all-around skillset translates seamlessly to the college game. He will have the opportunity to make an early splash at the next level! Verbally committed to Marist.     Will Bufkin earned US Lacrosse All-American (CA-Central Coast) in consecutive seasons as a sophomore & junior (2023 & 2024). He has been selected as the PCAL Player of the Year twice, as well as Stevenson's Most Outstanding Player. Will tallied 74 points on 42 goals & 32 assists as a freshman in 2022. Sophomore season he increased production with 94 points on 66 goals & 28 assists in 2023. Bufkin is a dynamic goal scorer who can shoot it from a deep distance. He is a quality ball handler, understanding his role with distribution responsibilities as a feeder. Will is a student of the game showing a high lax IQ with time & space. He has been gifted with a large frame & is usually one of the bigger athletes on the field. Bufkin forces defenders to match him physically & he maneuvers light on his feet. He has a lot of talent with his left hand & is solid off the ball. Will has a diverse skill set in the sense that if you take away his strength as a scorer he becomes an effective passer. He is highly praised as a player who is a respectable evaluator with the ball (+/-). Hunter is not prone to turning the ball over or taking ill-advised shots. He is coachable & rarely makes the wrong decisions. Cristo consistently is known as the hardest worker on a team full of dogs! He is always going top seed with maximum effort. If his team is ever in the mud, he is a constant energy guy on the squad who gets his teammates going. Verbally committed to the Air Force!     Parker Guiltinan earned US Lacrosse All-American (CA-San Diego) in 2024. He exploded as a junior scoring 103 points with 70 goals & 33 assists. Parker was named Santa Fe Christian's Team Captain as well as garnered MVP honors. He recorded 46 goals, 14 assists, 46 ground balls, & 24 caused turnovers in 2023. Guiltinan is a ginormous attacker who gets to the rack & draws a slide. He is a beast that is hard to contain as he turns the corner from X or slings it from the right wing. Parker is unforgivable in getting to the middle from the top down. He lowers the shoulder like a bull creating separation to fire over top of any defender. Guiltinan is skillful in tight where he can gain an advantage on a rebound & finish a second chance opportunity. He will hunt in the ride chasing down opponents, diving to strip them before they can successfully clear past the mid-line. Parker is a stretch shooter with a quality handle on the rock. He is a hard-to-miss target considering his size & skill where he can shovel home backhanded money shots from the inside or opposite wing.     Gus Singh earned 2nd Team All-CIF SS in 2024 & was the recipient of Loyola's Coaches Award as well as named the team's Top Defender. He has been named All Mission League twice as well as All LA County in 2023 & 2024. Gus is a universal defender with a picturesque breakdown to engage & neutralize offensive players. He is an automatic blindside doubler who snatches up possessions quickly with ground balls magnetized into his stick. Singh has a ski-high over-the-head check & can sprint to the end-line to steal possessions off of an errand shot. He carries the ball with a bulldozing body & ballerina-like dance moves. Gus is a balanced defender in open space & on the ball in coverage. He executes with proper footwork running the rails. Singh sets up his V-hold or clock check respectively at the goal line extended. A consensus 3-star prospect. Verbally committed to Amherst.     Ryan Winters earned US Lacrosse All-American (CA-Orange County) in 2024. The junior registered 62 points with 40 goals & 22 assists. Ryan added 50 ground balls & 17 caused turnovers on his way to being named the 2024 Trinity League Player of the Year, 1st Team All-CIF SS, Team Captain & offensive MVP. He is a feisty midfielder who is athletic & firm with his hands on defense. Winters is a solid two-way midfielder who can slide on a positive angle to engage dodgers with a neutralizing hit. He does a nice job hustling between the lines & pinning the ball carrier against the sideline. Ryan secures possessions for his team in a multitude of ways, including by riding the ball back. He has a flashy play style that includes behind-the-back passing & a behind-the-back crossover move. Winters is confident working in the face-off unit where he can be trusted to pick the ball up off of the wing. He spaces the unit out in vertical thirds of the field where he rolls away from pressure outside the hash & swims through a double in trap zones. Ryan is a reliable outlet during the clear who can keep his match-up on defense. He works well in offensive sets with the presence of an outside shooter who can pass. Winters mixes up his shot selection with various release points. He is a threat on the perimeter understanding timing & execution. Ryan cuts well off-ball using a Longhorn cut. A consensus 3-star prospect. Verbally committed to Boston.     Dylan Kelleher earned 1st Team All-CIF SD in 2024 & 2nd Team All Coastal League in 2023 (75% in League play). He went 315/436 winning 72.3% & collected 194 ground balls as a junior. Dylan is a Team Captain & 3x Varsity starter. He went 70.1% as a freshman in 2022. Kelleher does a terrific job filling in on the face-off dot. He has superior hand speed to go forward & will jam or tie you up before he gives up a break. Dylan has a powerful frame with explosive potential off of the whistle. He has an uncanny ability to take over the game scoring back-to-back goals on the next play or passing possession to the point. Kelleher is an absolute catalyst for the Eagles. Verbally committed to Amherst.     Jake Holmes earned 2nd Team All-MCAL in 2023 & 1st Team All-MCAL in 2024. He put up 45 points as a Sophomore. Jake is appraised as a top player in the Bay Area & the most underrated player in the State. He is not getting as much national acclaim but is a champion title holder with Marin Catholic. Holmes is a legit left-handed midfielder who ran by everyone as a junior & is still getting better. He was cited as the best player on the field in some competitions last year, most notably saving the game vs Mater Dei. Jake has an elusive jab-step & shoots with precision running up the hash. He is dynamic inverting behind the goal & attacking a short stick. Holmes can step in from the left wing & sling it off the hip down the left alley. He will set up defenders to overplay his right hand & roll back to his strength. Jake has the potential to get some burn right away at the next level. Verbally committed to Sacred Heart.     Keoni Johnson is a phenomenal ball-stopper with cat-like reflexes. He contributed to California's top goalie room last year at St. Ignatius with The West Catholic Athletic League's Player of the Year (George Vlahos: Navy) & another promising keeper in the 2027 class. Keoni has been a Varsity player with the #1 Wildcats since freshman year in 2022. He posted a 73% save percentage & a 2.76 goals-against average as a sophomore in 2023. Johnson is a freak on the crease who can stockpile multiple point-blank saves. He has an impressive base positioning making the acrobatic saves & popping into position to outlet the ball. Keoni changes levels with ease & shuffles his feet to center his body on the ball. He keeps his head up & sees the ball into his stick. Johnson is an accurate passer & will run in the clear with streamlined footwork to exit the crease. A consensus top goalie West of the Mississippi who is looking to break through as an elite goalie in his class. A consensus 3-star prospect. Verbally committed to Hofstra.     Price Jeffris earned 2nd Team All-MCAL in 2024 at Attack & 1st Team All-MCAL in 2023 as a Midfielder. He totaled 61 points as a sophomore, scoring 41 goals & dishing out 20 assists. Price is a horse in the midfield with long strides & a zippy skip-through step that gains separation. He uses his prolonged wingspan to cock back & fire a bullet into the corner. Jeffris is a taller target in the clear & has the readiness to leg it into the settled offense. He is a praiseworthy passer & can initiate offense from the wing, up top, or behind the goal. Price is underrated off of the ball, cutting off of the stack with handles & solid finishing ability. He is athletic enough to get back on defense & play physical. A consensus 3-star prospect. Verbally committed to Utah.     Hugh Gates earned 1st Team All WCAL in 2024 with 72 goals & 18 assists totaling 90 points! He is a twin beneficiary with telepathic talents in Lacrosse. Hugh is a deep erudite recondite scholarly smart player in the confines of an offense. He fights for space & finishes cuts with purpose. Gates is the ultimate off-ball attacker who is a high-percentage finisher with either hand. He is a cosmic help to his teammates as he routinely capitalizes against the country's best. Hugh has an unbelievable wherewithal to handle passes after he puts himself in a position to catch & see the goal. He is a pure shooter with a full arsenal of various release points from overhand to underhand. Gates is timely & efficient in the motion offense. He C-cuts well off the dodger, fades backside, or runs a nice give-&-go. A consensus 3-star prospect. Verbally committed to Connecticut.     Zachary Otoupal earned US Lacrosse All-American (CA-Central Coast) in 2024 for the second straight year as a sophomore with 136 ground balls & 14 goals. Additionally, he was named the PCAL Gablian Division Defensive Player of the Year twice! Few and far between garner such accolades early on in their high school careers as underclassmen. Otoupal demonstrated eye-catching talent vs Palo Alto in the Central Coast Section Division II championship game in 2024. He helped lead the Wildcats to victory in a 12-10 game with a performance that included 13 ground balls & 2 assists. Zachary is an impressive athlete who scoops it up quickly off the wing & runs the field well. He makes clean cuts while dodging to score in transition & will also pass to the point. Otoupal keeps his stick out in the passing lane to make interceptions while shuffling in & out of a show position. He is a big, physical athlete with ambitions to take his game to another level! Zachary is primarily a close defender who can bump up to a wing position or do whatever the team needs in the biggest moment of the game! He is now scheduled to play for Santa Margarita in 2025 as a junior. Brody might not have received many accolades yet but don't be fooled, this torchbearer has the potential to be a top recruit in his class & recipient of a scholarship to play Division 1 lacrosse. He is a complete midfielder who has all of the shimmies & all of the shakes. Booen uses the classic Z dodge as a midfielder who gets in & out of his move with fluent stick protection. He has quick wrists & the touch to score with either hand or behind the back inside. Brody has a smashmouth component to his game in addition to his finesse style. He is in sync with his split & has a howitzer on the perimeter. Booen is a deceptive shooter who is willing to test the surface for success. He is a match-up nightmare from up top as well as in the invert. Look for Brody to boost the (OC) Eagles with his championship pedigree!
