He is also a pest when the opposing team wins the clamp, as he continues to battle and apply pressure until the play is over.

After securing the ground ball, he runs to space and makes smart decisions by pushing it to the right middie or attackman. Look for him to continue making a name for himself over the next few months.

Xander Iway operated with poise at the X for the Vegas Starz at the Buku Las Vegas Showcase, winning faceoffs quickly and regularly. He also does a solid job of getting the ball to his middies and attack before defenders can check him. College coaches may want to start tracking him if they aren’t already.

has been on a tear this year. After a strong spring season, the FOGO has continued to make an impact at the X. He was most recently named to the All-Tournament team at the 2025 Tinseltown Throwdown. He often wins it cleanly and jumpstart the offense. Or he can battle it out and cause a turnover to win the ball back. His competitiveness is also a trait of his that sticks out. He seems to be incredibly determined to win every attempt and is always giving it his all.

He also tends to get hot once his confidence is going and he can spark big runs. If Iway doesn’t win the clamp, he continues to battle for the ball and is very scrappy.
