Carey Smith | Prep Lacrosse Scout
One of the most highly touted freshmen in the Delaware Valley has more than lived up to the hype early in the 2026 season. Lamberson’s imposing size, elite speed, and physical style have popped on the field. Those assets, combined with an active stick, have enabled Lamberson to wreak havoc on opposing offenses. Lamberson has displayed the ability to pursue ball carriers for long stretches and then cause turnovers by taking the body or executing well-timed stick checks. Lamberson’s groundball skills have been impressive, too. Once Lamberson has secured possession, this 2029 prospect has sprinted past or run over opposing players as he pushed the transition game. Lamberson’s polished stick-handling skills have enabled him to repeatedly carry the rock deep into the offensive end.

The first item that pops about Lamberson is his size. At 6-foot-4 and 190-pounds Lamberson looks like a man among boys on the field. Combine that imposing size with elite speed and impressive stick skills as well as a nasty streak and you get a 2029 with unlimited upside. At LSM or close defense, Lamberson tortures opposing offensive players with his heavy stick checks and ability to take the body. He can also play a finesse style of defense and run with a ball carrier on the perimeter until a crafty poke or lift puts that ball on the turf. Lamberson is quick to pounce on those GBs and then lead a transition opportunity. On the fast break, Lamberson is a freight train with elusive stick handles. Once he is below the restraining line, Lamberson is a legitimate threat to crank a shot into the back of the net. But Lamberson has also proven that he values possession, so he will settle the ball rather than force the issue.
