Basel was a lethal scoring threat who found the back of the net from distance and in-close. On the perimeter, Basle ripped step downs to all corners and scored on well-placed off-hip shots. Plus, Basel did a fantastic job of faking the long-range shot, dashing past his now off-balance defender, and then shooting on the run. When he was in traffic around the net, Basel instinctively kept his stick tight to the body until he was ready to fire on cage. Basel’s quick hands and creative finishing skills enabled him to convert with two, and at times, three defenders mauling him. As a bonus to his scoring touch, Basel showed he could smartly distribute from behind the cage.
