About Luca

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a technical faceoff specialist with quick hands and a strong understanding of leverage and timing. My game is built around an excellent clamp, precise counters, and the ability to adjust quickly based on my opponent. I focus on efficiency, control, and consistency at the faceoff X.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I take pride in my preparation and believe confidence is earned through the work done when no one is watching. I’m focused and competitive. As a faceoff specialist, I stay poised—if I lose one, I flush it out and don’t let it impact my attitude or performance for the rest of the game.

If there was one dominant faceoff specialist at the Best in Class fall event, it was Luca Santucci Luca Santucci Luca Santucci 5'11" | 170 lbs | FO/M | Right Hand Chaminade | 2028 NY . Including the All-Star Game, from my count, he went an impressive 12-for-16 (75%) from the stripe and looked in total control throughout the day. His pinch-and-pop was lethal — whether winning it forward to spark transition or popping it back to himself, Santucci dictated the pace of play.

What stood out most was his ability to read situations and adjust. He knew when to use his body to box out and when to rely on his quickness to create separation and gain possession. Confident and composed with the ball in his stick, he handled pressure with ease and consistently made smart decisions in transition. Santucci proved to be the clear standout at the X and a name to circle for the 2028 class.
