Max is a dual-sport athlete who is also big-time on the football field. He had a terrific freshman spring in 2023 starting at Attack & made a noticeable jump as a sophomore in 2024. Bushaw is an ideal player in a positionless offense. He is an extremely smart player in the sense that he can combine different aspects of play within any system. Max is developing into an alpha initiator & possesses the leadership components to make others around him better. He understands his place in the game, showing the willingness to become a role player who catches & finishes! Bushaw is elusive with the ball in his stick & will bring the heat with either hand. He is a prolific scorer inside-out who will make the extra pass, assisting teammates who are in a better position to score. A consensus 4-star prospect & top-100 player in his class. Bushaw has an incredibly impressive offensive skill set and body of work, posting 42 goals and eight assists as a freshman while serving as the Dragons’ starting X attackman. Projecting as a college midfielder, Bushaw’s continued to make a name for himself ever since with several stellar showings on the club and showcase circuit, where he’s proven to be dynamic and consistently productive. Somewhere around 6’1 and 170 pounds, Bushaw brings a lot of shake and speed to the table, constantly creating separation and putting good looks on cage with a polished shot on the run. He’s bouncy and explosive as a dodger and tenacious as a competitor, making stops on defense and scrapping for contested groundballs. Every time I’ve watched him, his full-field impact has been constant.
