Cassata recently committed to Boston University. That means the Terriers staff added a fleet-footed, lefty midfielder with a solid frame and a well-rounded skill set to BU’s 2026 recruiting class. Head coach Ryan Polley and company will love Cassata’s ability to crank shots into the net while on the run. Cassata excels at dipping underneath the initial defender and then charging to the cage for a scoring chance. The coaches at BU will also love his catch-and-fire scoring skills. Cassata’s smart and timely off-ball movements are responsible for the majority of those catch-and-shoot opportunities. When he is not scoring, Cassata’s field vision combined with his passing skills enable him to find and feed cutters. This past spring at Holderness, Cassata recorded 65 points and was a Lake Region All-Star selection.
