An all-around playmaker at the attack spot, Mayer has shown the ability to make plays from anywhere on the field. He is especially good when operating from the wings and is a prime shooting threat.

Mayer helped form a starting attack unit along with Kaiden Sullivan and David Powers that combined for 169 points this past spring. Mayer was perhaps the Tigers’ most versatile attackman as he proved to be able to make an impact both behind the cage or on the wings as a dodger as well as a shooter and off-ball playmaker from above the cage and up top. Mayer netted 34 goals and dished out 18 assists for 52 points during his junior campaign.
