Marks showed quite a bit of growth last spring and thus earned the respect of defenses up and down the Tigers’ lofty schedule. Arguably the best dodger for the Tigers, Marks proved to be a dangerous ball-carrier from anywhere on the field as he knows how to attack his defender and get to the rack. Having good lacrosse IQ, he knows how to get to space where he can either shoot or feed. He is especially good on the wings. Marks ended last spring with 57 points off 36 goals and 21 assists.

On Saturday, Marks was at his best late as he showcased his feeding ability with a pair of crucial four-quarter assists. Each of his goals, including the game-winner, came in similar fashion as he was able to use his speed to beat his defender and get downhill for the score.

, Marks has had a strong start to his sophomore campaign. On Wednesday night, Marks often found himself being the initiator as the Tigers run a lot of their offense through the midfield. A dual-sport athlete who also plays wide receiver in football, Marks possesses quite a bit of speed that he can use to his advantage as a dodger. Marks’ two goals for St. Xavier were crucial in helping their second half comeback effort. He pulled the Tigers within one late in the third quarter before tying things at 12 all with 2:35 remaining in regulation.
