put together a big performance in Episcopal’s win over Woodberry Forest, finishing with five goals and an assist. The Utah commit is a pure scorer with a shooter’s mentality, thriving on his ability to get his feet set, read the goalie, and consistently win the “chest game” with his placement.
He shows excellent timing in his release, mixing in different windups and release angles to get shots off in tight windows. Those release variations aren’t just for the cameras, either—Bazant understands when to catch and shoot overhand, when to drop to a sidearm slot to widen his angle, and when to lower his hands before pulling it high to freeze the goalie.
Episcopal will need that production from Bazant heading into the IAC tournament, especially after regular season losses to Landon, St. Albans, Georgetown Prep, and Bullis.
