Dale’s another sophomore who had been on my radar; quite frankly, he’s my favorite ’28 middie that I’ve evaluated up to this point and helped solidify that sentiment with an excellent showing at IDX. It doesn’t take long to feel the energy and grit with which Dale plays. He is constantly attacking downhill, sweeping across the top, and drawing slides. Due to his athleticism, he makes it hard for defenders to get their paws on him, so he’s routinely creating a significant amount of separation, plus he throws skip passes with confidence. He buried an around-the-world at one point, but it was his sensational screen shot that might have been an even better play and one of the most impressive I saw all day. More than just a dynamic offensive midfielder, he can be found all over the field making plays in all facets.
