This UNC commit buried three goals from his attack spot, and what really stood out during those tallies was Cacciabaudo’s quick release and shot placement. On each of his three goals, Cacciabaudo’s precise aim put the ball in a spot where EA’s goalie had no chance of making a save. In addition to his incredible shooting, Cacciabaudo turned heads with smart and timely off-ball movements. His most impressive goal of the night was the game-tying tally late in the fourth quarter. During that play, Cacciabaudo cut down the hash to the crease, hauled in a difficult pass, and then in the same motion, spun and fired a low bouncer into the net.

Putting together a preposterous performance, Cacciabaudo notched a hat trick exclusively on shovel shots, then added another – this time on a quick-stick finish – in the fourth quarter for good measure. A sensational off-ball player with a penchant for creative releases, the future Tar Heel is close to matching his 2025 production (9g/1a), having notched six goals in two games. He found the net on a shovel shot off a rebound in the first quarter, did so again in the second stanza after throwing a fake to move the goalie, then buried another in the middle of SA’s third-quarter run thanks to a 15-yard assist from longtime LI Express teammate

. His game is rather unconventional, but he’s always open, always at the end of the plays, and catches everything thrown his way.

Cacciabaudo is widely considered the best right-handed inside guy finisher on the island and some might even say in the entire ’26 class. After watching his summer tape, I couldn’t agree more. The UNC commit’s hands are great, but what’s more impressive is how poised he is inside. He makes amazing cuts and has the spatial awareness and ability to find pockets inside that allow him to be a threat. A very creative finisher with extremely quick hands, he is calm, cool, and collected when finishing inside. If there’s even the tiniest bit of open space, he’s the guy you can force it inside and good things will likely happen.

After drawing rave reviews for his innate off-ball prowess on the November circuit, Cacciabaudo impressed in an individual setting, scoring in workmanlike fashion all weekend and making his presence felt with a pair of second-half goals in the All-Star Game. He buried his first when he took a pass from Ethan Moore and scored with his off-hand, then got on the board shortly thereafter with a smooth righty jumper. Watching him closely in the drills portion and Sunday’s games, I was impressed with his effort level and approach to finishing appropriately.
