A smooth lefty, Cuches was someone who looked the part in terms of the eye test, and while I don’t have his measurables, but he’s got pretty good size with room to grow into his frame. From there, he only needed a few possessions to catch my eye with his ability. He’s another kid who has impressive skills for a kid at this early point, and is a good-looking shooter from the wing. Cuches finished some pretty eye-popping plays coming around the cage, turning the corner and leaving his feet on more than one occasion. The Lakers seem to be high on Cuches and BL’s Class of 2030 as a whole, which is a mix of local talent and out-of-state boarders. He’ll inevitably fight for a spot on the varsity roster and could be one we’ll be hearing about for the next few years, as the program has quite a track record for developing top-flight attackmen.
