This fall, I couldn’t help but notice how consistently Kelly put himself in the right spots to finish plays. He’s carried that momentum into the spring and has been on a hot streak lately, emerging as a key contributor in his junior season. Kelly closed out non-conference play in impressive fashion, recording a hat trick against Blue Ridge, a byproduct of his off-ball instincts and opportunistic scoring ability. His feet are always moving, and he has a natural feel for when and where to cut. Recently, when Kelly finds space, he’s converting at a high rate. On Friday, he delivered again, scoring an EMO goal from the wing that ultimately stood as the game-winner in the Lakers’ rivalry matchup with McDonogh. Moving forward, it would be great to see him continue developing as a dodger, but his ability to embrace and excel in his current role has been highly impressive.
