The contact period for Class of 2028 prospects has been open for three weeks now, and already several highly regarded prospects from Delaware have come off the board.

Nationally ranked players such as attackman [player_tooltip player_id='163167' first='Zachary' last='Strohmeier'] (UPenn), LSM [player_tooltip player_id='173301' first='Kendrick' last='Carmouche'] (UNC), face-off specialist [player_tooltip player_id='173486' first='Paul' last='Taraborelli'] (Virginia) and close defender [player_tooltip player_id='174643' first='Zach' last='Hudson'] (Drexel) come to mind immediately.

Despite the September run on prospects from “The First State,” a slew of extraordinarily talented juniors from Delaware are still available.

Today I want to profile five available 2028s from Delaware who I believe could get snapped up soon.

How this quick-twitch offensive prospect with filthy stick skills and a high IQ remains available is a mystery. During the 2026 high school season, Grapski posted 30 goals to go along with 23 assists as he helped guide Cape to the Delaware state championship game. He carried that momentum into the summer circuit where he posted a string of jaw-dropping performances. Grapski's explosive first step, shifty moves, and elusive stick maneuvers allow him to blow past, shake, or dip underneath on-ball defenders. He will then crank 12-15-yard shots on the run or continue all the way to the net for an overhand dunk. Grapski's ability to evade sliding defenders is remarkable. Additionally, this junior can also get downhill, then stop on a dime and roll back for a clean shot. Grapski can dodge effectively going to his left or right and then finish or distribute with either hand. That rare skill set makes Grapski an extraordinarily difficult matchup for opposing poles. When he is stationed on the wing, Grapski's catch-and-rip shooting skills must be respected. Finally, Grapski has a habit of swiftly converting turnovers as well as ground balls into unsettled action goals.

Healy is an athletic and shifty midfielder who can generate offense for himself or teammates. With his dynamic burst, elusive change-of-direction moves, and two-handed skill set, Healy is extraordinarily difficult to defend 1v1. Once Healy has cooked his initial defender, he can rip shots from distance or charge to the net for a scoring chance in close. When he dodges, Healy does a fantastic job of keeping his head up and then using his field vision and feathery touch to deliver creative dimes to teammates. Off-ball, Healy has demonstrated that he can execute smart and timely cuts or drifts that produce clean looks. Healy is especially adept at working the high crease area and middle of the field for catch-and-fire scoring chances. His ability to pull in difficult passes and then quickly get the ball on net is impressive. Healy has also flashed the ability to carry the ball to X and then initiate or feed from behind the cage.

One of the most decorated 2028s in Delaware is still on the board, and college coaches need to wake up and offer Lukach immediately. Last spring, Lukach caused 75 turnovers, vacuumed up 58 ground balls, and earned 1st Team All-DISC and 1st Team All-State honors. Lukach's combination of size, speed, athleticism, and fierce stick work allows him to terrorize opposing ball carriers. Lukach is a versatile pole who can harass midfielders out on the perimeter or drop to close and shut down X-attackmen. At both LSM and close defender, Lukach does a tremendous job of arriving early to the ball carrier and dictating play with his physicality and aggressive stick. Off-ball, Lukach has shown remarkable instincts for when to leave his man and deliver a trail check to the ball carrier. Once the ball hits the ground, Lukach will use his positioning skills and quick reactions to secure possession. He will then sprint upfield and trigger a transition scoring opportunity. College coaches will love that Lukach is a high-IQ prospect who has displayed a deep understanding of team defensive concepts.

One item that pops immediately for Moore is that he is extremely nimble and fast for a 6-foot-2 prospect with a solid frame. The trifecta of Moore's quick lateral movements, open-field speed, and ability to slip around or through screens makes him a fierce on-ball defender. Moore can stay attached to a ball carrier's hip for a long stretch and then cause a turnover via a powerful stick check as well as a crafty lift or poke. Moore is also a master at delivering timely trail checks that put the ball on the turf. Additionally, with his size and aggressive approach, Moore will not hesitate to play the body in order to generate a turnover. Off-ball, Moore is a high IQ team defender whose slides and double teams are always on time. Moore's refined stick skills and smart decision-making with the ball make him a plus player on clears and in the transition game too.

Motta is an electric offensive prospect who last spring helped Salesianum capture back-to-back state titles. Then this past summer, Motta was a key piece for the Team Philly squad that won the Burn division (2028) at the New Balance All-America event. In addition to his winning pedigree, Motta owns impressive speed, elusive moves, and filthy stick skills. This midfield/attack standout excels at using his quick burst combined with a split dodge or a spin move to blow past his man and put stress on the opposing defense. Motta's ability to string together multiple quick cuts is next level. Once his hands are free, Motta can score or distribute while on the run. With his quick release, power, and accuracy, Motta is also an extremely dangerous step-down shooter. Motta has demonstrated that he could score and feed from X too. An underrated aspect of Motta's game is his off-ball skills. Motta's well-timed cuts, rolls, and dives frequently produce catch-and-dunk opportunities.
