Elite lacrosse prospects from all over the county continue the annual ritual of transferring high schools during the off-season.

A number of those players will transfer to schools in Pennsylvania.

Here at Preplacrosse.com we will do our best to track those player movements and pass that information on to you, the reader. Of course, we will also include a profile of each prospect's skill set.

Below is Part IV in our Pennsylvania Transfer Watch 2026 series.

Luviano is an athletic midfielder with nifty stick skills and a high lacrosse IQ. He can get downhill from the wing or up top, separate from his initial defender and then apply pressure to opposing defenses. Once the defensive unit makes their move, Luviano has a tremendous feel for whether he should stop and fire a shot or continue his charge to the net or distribute to an open teammate. When Luviano decides to slam on the brakes and uncork one, his quick release and creative shot placement make his shots impossible to stop. In addition to his offensive skills, Luviano has flashed the ability to hustle back and operate as a SSDM for a possession. This summer Luviano will transfer from Germantown Academy to Episcopal Academy. He should have an immediate impact for an EA squad that lost a great deal of offensive firepower to graduation.

McGregor is a gifted two-way midfielder who is departing Centennial CVI in Canada and bringing his talents across the northern border to Kiski School outside Pittsburgh. On offense, McGregor's speed, agility, and physical style enable him to initiate from up top or the wing, cook his initial defender and then run through slides for a scoring chance in close. That same list of assets makes McGregor a serious threat to go coast-to-coast in transition. In 6v6 action, this lefty can also crank from the perimeter. At the defensive end, McGregor's scoop and go skills allow him to generate fast break chances. The combination of his athleticism and physicality makes McGregor a pesky on-ball defender too. McGregor can create turnovers via crowbars as well as timely double teams.

One of the top 2029s in the state is on the move, as Strohl is transferring from Plymouth Whitemarsh to Springside Chestnut Hill Academy. As freshman starter at PW, Strohl scooped up 138 ground balls and caused 51 turnovers. With his imposing size, athleticism, active stick, and polished footwork, Strohl is an absolute ball hawk. Strohl excels at disrupting opposing offenses by pressing out on ball carriers and then causing turnovers. This rising sophomore is also a master at getting into ball carriers early in their dodge and moving them of their intended path. During his impressive freshman campaign, Strohl demonstrated that can execute stick checks, lift, pokes and can openers that put the ball on the turf. With his long wingspan and anticipation skills, Strohl excels at intercepting / deflecting passes too. Lastly, Strohl is an excellent team defender with a remarkable understanding of slide packages as well as when to apply double teams.

Van Amburg is a prospect with imposing size and a relentless motor who can play a finesse or physical style of pole. When he is in finesse mode, Van Amburg can pursue ball carriers out of the perimeter, apply constant pressure to their hands and then cause a turnover with a crafty lift, poke or can opener. Van Amburg has also been known to use the occasional rusty gate to put the ball on the turf. When Van Amburg plays a physical brand of pole, he arrives early to ball carriers, and gets into their chest with his 200-pound frame. He also will not hesitate to drop a shoulder check that separates his opponent from the ball. Van Amburg's slides and double teams typically come a physical edge too. This 2028 prospect owns the speed and stick skills to scoop up the ensuing GBs and then push the fast break deep into the offensive end. This summer, Van Amburg will transfer from Salpointe Catholic in Arizona to Kiski School.

This decorated rising sophomore has departed Gulf Breeze High School in Florida and will transfer to nationally ranked Hill School. As a freshman at Gulf Breeze, Werrell assembled over 200 face of wins and posted a win percentage of 67%. Werrell's athleticism, fast hands, and textbook mechanics enable him to dominate at the dot. Once Werrell has won the clamp, his explosive speed separates him from the pack and creates transition opportunities for his team. In transition, Werrell is a legitimate threat to rip a shot into the net. When things get chaotic at the dot, Werrell's non-stop motor and tenacity help him muck-it-up until he can secure possession. College coaches will love the aggressive stick work and positioning skills Werrell uses to emerge from a crowd with possession.

Elite lacrosse prospects from all over the county continue the annual ritual of transferring high schools during the off-season.
