In both scenarios, this junior's elusive stick maneuvers and refined shooting / passing skills make him a serious threat to score or drop a dime on a teammate. Downs is especially dangerous as a trailing pole on the fast break. On defense, Downs is a rangy and aggressive pole who can cause turnovers via his fierce stick checks or by taking the body. Downs has a knack for arriving early to the ball and causing havoc. Once the ball hits the turf, his lively stick, and positioning skills allow Downs to vacuum up the ground ball. Therefore, it should not be a surprise that he recently committed to Drexel. Obviously, Petock can win draws with clean pick-n-pops that send him charging into the offensive zone. His polished shooting / passing skills make Petock a dual threat on those charges to the net. But Petock can also win draws via defensive exits. On those wins, Petock's positioning skills and physicality allow him to hold off his opponent while he scoops up the ground ball. Petock has also proven that he can accurately snap the ball to an open wing. Additionally, this junior can execute quick jabs and sweeps that propel the ball into open space. Smith capped off his stock rising summer by helping Team Philly win the Burn Division at the New Balance All-America event. In early October Song verbally committed to Drexel. He was an enormous “get” for the Drexel program as Song is one of the most highly decorated 2028 defensive prospects in Pennsylvania. Song is a multi-skilled pole who can run at both LSM and close defense. From both spots, Song has a reputation for causing turnovers via devastating stick checks as well as with his physicality.
