Earlier this week Perkiomen School visited Episcopal Academy for a matchup between two stacked teams that should contend for the PAISAA state title come May.

This was a tight contest for two and a half quarters. The game was tied at 3-3 after the first quarter and Episcopal held a 6-5 lead at halftime. Early in the third quarter Episcopal grabbed a 7-5 lead off a hidden ball trick-play that setup a high crease goal by [player_tooltip player_id='16060' first='Keegan' last='Nash']. That crafty goal kicked started a second-half scoring blitz by Episcopal and the Churchmen went on to capture a 14-8 win.

Yes, Episcopal scored 14 goals, but trust me when I say that it could have been much worse if Crist (19 saves) had not been between the pipes. On several EA possessions, Crist faced a barrage of shots and turned each of them away. He also made a handful of spectacular saves on 1v1 scoring chances around the crease. His ability to slide side to side for stops was impressive. Crist's fast hands produced a number of clean saves on the top shelf. College coaches will love the poise that Crist displayed.

This Syracuse commit first caught our attention back in November 2025 at the Philly HS Challenge with his ability to impact every facet of a game. His extraordinary versatility was on display again versus EA. James, scored a goal, dished out an assist, caused a slew of turnovers and ate up ground balls. James is a super athletic pole with speed and an active stick. He pursued EA ball carriers all over the field and did an extraordinary job of keeping pressure on their hands. His powerful stick checks and nifty pokes but the ball on the ground frequently. James also was a transition force in this contest as he pushed the ball up the field multiple times to create opportunities for the Panthers.

Messina (Drexel commit) is a native of Canada and has significant box lacrosse experience. That was extremely obvious during the two slick goals he scored and the assist he handed out against EA. Messina's first was a lefty fire into the top corner from GLE. The second was on a fast break during which Messina went in solo on the EA goalie, threw and couple stick fakes as closed the distance and then buried a shot near side. Messina's assist came when he snared a GB around midfield, swiftly pushed the ball down the left side and then laced a diagonal pass across traffic to a teammate who was waiting on the crease. Messina displayed remarkable field vision on that dime.

This past fall Jakuc established himself as one of the top available 2027s in Pennsylvania and that trend continued in EA's win over Perkiomen School. Unofficially, Jakuc won 12 of the 17 face offs (70%) in this contest. The majority of those wins were via clean pick-n-pops that enabled Jakuc to explode into the offensive and create scoring chances for EA. On one of those charges down field, Jakuc buried a high to low shot into the net. Jakuc's polished stick skills also produced several nice passes while he was on the move. The separation speed Jakuc displayed in this contest was impressive. This crafty FOGO did a fantastic job of varying his exit strategies to keep his opponents off balance

The tremendous all-around play of this Rutgers commit was a major reason EA was able to secure this win. Nash registered 3 goals to go along with 2 assists in the game. One of his goals was a magnificent individual effort on which Nash dodged going right, slammed on the brakes, executed a filthy split dodge that created space, and then ripped a shot over the goalie's shoulder from 15 yards out. Nash also did an incredible job of feeding crease cutters for goals in this game. Nash's deep bag of moves and quick first step made him difficult to defend all day.

Orcutt's two-way skills along with his with size, speed, and polished skills were a major part of EA's win. The North Carolina commit tallied 3 goals and dished out 3 assists for EA against Perkiomen School. Orcutt's most impressive goal came as he dodged from up top, swept left across the Perkiomen defense, and then charged down the middle for a lefty rip into the far top corner. His ability to pick up a GB in the defensive and then push the fast break jump started several possessions for EA. Orcutt also came out of the box to receive a clearing pass and then raced down field to create odd man breaks for the Churchmen. Additionally, his size and physical style enabled Orcutt to run through significant contact on 6v6 possessions. Those same assets made Orcutt an effective presence at SSDM in this game.
