Popping on film, Allen made unbelievable strides as a junior and was one of the most dominant defenders in all of New England, earning US Lacrosse All-American honors for the Crimson Knights in 2025. The Danvers (Mass.) native served as a shutdown defender from his role at LSM and not only erased some of the more heralded midfielders in the region, but flat-out embarrassed them. With an elite stick serving as Allen’s marquee attribute, he has shown a penchant for throwing nasty takeaway checks and making momentum-swinging plays with the ball in his stick. That’s always been a huge part of his game, but it quickly became clear that Allen learned that there’s a time and place to throw those home-run checks. On the undersized side, he’s been praised as a weight room warrior, and will need to get bigger and stronger between now and when he’s ready to play for the Terps. That being said, I love how he projects at the next level and am looking forward to seeing what he has in store as a ‘Bury senior.

Flashy and excitable in every sense, Allen plays with a ton of energy and is all over the field emptying the tank. Although he’s somewhere around 5’7, he’s got impeccable stick skills that allow him to make a huge impact in the middle of the field – leaving your stick hanging around him is costly. If you’re looking for a shutdown cover man, he probably isn’t your guy, but if you’re looking for a highly impactful pole who gets the ball off the ground and racks up points, Allen fits the bill.
