Thus, Cunningham can simply wear out a ball carrier until he makes a mistake. Cunningham is then quick to recognize those opportunities to create a turnover and can throw variety of timely checks to put the ball on the ground. Cunningham also has a knack for keeping his stick in the passing lanes and then snaring any ill-advised distribution attempts. As a bonus to those items, Gillis possesses elite stick skills and is a nimble athlete. Gillis does a fantastic job of tracking shooters, so the number of clean saves he makes per game is remarkable. His well-timed cuts and slashes to the cage produce easy scoring opportunities. Lucovich has also displayed the ability to slide or drift into open space while staying in the ball carrier's line of vision. Once he has possession, Lucovich can find the back of the net in every way imaginable. Plus, Lucovich is equally effective shooting with his left or right hand. At marquee events such as the NLF National Championships and the Pinnacle Lax Championships, Taylor used his quick first step as well as his elusive moves to dust his defender and create scoring opportunities for himself or teammates. Taylor's stutter-steps and well-timed spins are especially effective ways he lost defenders in this summer. Once Taylor has found open space, he can uncork missiles on the run. Taylor also excels at drawing the slide and then moving the ball to an open teammate. His polished stick skills enable Taylor to drive through heavy traffic on his way to the cage for an overhand dunk or a flick of the wrist that slips a low shot past the goalie.
