Available Pennsylvania 2027s We'd Offer Right Now

With the summer madness now behind us, I thought today would be an appropriate time to review five available Pennsylvania prospects who impressed with their outstanding play in June and July.   In fact, the players profiled below were so impressive this summer, that if I were running a college lacrosse program, I would send each of them an offer today.    After a standout junior season in which he won face-offs at a 71.5% clip and helped push Haverford School to the PAISAA state championship game, Dodson continued to dominate opponents on the summer circuit. Dodson's quick reactions and textbook mechanics produce a slew of clean pick-and-pop wins. Once Dodson has secured possession, his explosive burst enables him to separate from his opponent and sprint into the offensive end. Dodson's remarkable stick skills allow him to score or distribute while running full speed. During June and July, Dodson also proved he is a versatile FOGO who will use defensive exits or grind out a win and then emerge with possession. Dodson's relentless motor is a major reason he is able to chase down ground balls and vacuum them up.     Grace is a long, athletic, and fleet-footed midfielder. Combine those assets with his stick skills and high IQ, and you get a prospect with tremendous upside. Grace is a true two-way midfielder. He excels at scooping up GBs or receiving an outlet pass and then pushing transition opportunities. In 6v6 action, Grace uses his long strides to get downhill in a flash and then shoot or distribute on the run. His ability to dodge going left or right and then shoot/finish with either hand makes Grace difficult to defend 1v1. Grace is also a standout on the basketball court. Those hoops skills are especially obvious when Grace drops back to play SSDM. At short-stick, Grace does a fantastic job using his lateral quickness to keep ball carriers in front of him. With his long wingspan and aggressive stick, Grace is a groundball machine, too.     This fast and rangy LSM is a shutdown defensive presence on the perimeter. Thanks to his refined footwork and high IQ, Jeckell can patiently track a ball carrier for a long stretch and turn him multiple times. When the offensive player eventually leaves an opening, Jeckell will cause a turnover with a timely stick check, lift, or can opener. Jeckell has also been known to use a forceful body check to put the ball on the turf. Jeckell's elite ground ball skills and speed often generate transition opportunities off those turnovers. When Jeckell sprints into the offensive end, he is a legitimate threat to fire a rocket into the net. On defense, Jeckell is also high IQ team defender who has demonstrated a solid understanding of slide packages. Plus, Jeckell does a tremendous job of getting over and through screens. After the 2026 high school season, Jeckell was a 1st Team All Wyoming Valley selection.     How this 1st Team All-East Penn Conference selection, who won 18 games this past spring and has amassed over 300 career saves, is still available is a complete mystery. Lapham owns considerable size, so he is an imposing figure in the cage. He tracks shooters extremely well, has fast hands, and pops off his line. Thus, Lapham snares a high percentage of perimeter shots cleanly. When shooters go low, Lapham uses swift but controlled drops to deny those shots. Additionally, Lapham does a tremendous job of using all parts of his body to make stops. Lapham's athleticism enables him to scramble out of the crease and pounce on loose balls. Once the ball is in his stick, Lapham is poised and delivers smart clearing passes. Lapham keeps his defensive unit connected with his constant communication.     After the 2026 high school season, Saunders was named as a 1st TeamAll-Berks County selection. Watch him for a game or two, and it's easy to see why Saunders received that honor. Saunders stands 6-foot-2 and owns a solid frame as well as a lengthy wingspan. That trifecta enables Saunders to push around and at times manhandle opponents. Saunders also is a master at throwing powerful stick checks that generate turnovers. Saunders possesses the speed, IQ and stick skills to play a finesse style of close defense too. He can stay glued to a ball carrier for an extended period of time and then put the ball on the turf with a crafty poke, lift or can opener. Additionally, Saunders is a master of the timely trail check. Saunders excels at picking up groundballs in a crowd. His ability to run through contact on clears and fast breaks is impressive.
