Serving as a pressure cooker and the final event before the annual 4th of July dead period, Naptown Challenge went down in Montgomery County and the Annapolis area, which hosted Wednesday morning's semifinals and 2Way's electric OT win over Red Hots in front of the ESPNU cameras.

In this piece, we dive deeper into five new names on offense, including a recent '29 reclass who balled out, as well as a player who will likely be the most coveted two-way midfielder in the Class of 2028 in September.

Although Breslin may be one of the more unassuming players on the field each time he steps out there, he's also among its toughest and craftiest offensive weapons, and his production doesn't lie. He kicked off Tuesday's action with a five-goal showing and got things done in a multitude of ways, burying a pretty BTB, throwing multiple fakes before finishing in front, and getting up the hash. And while he's not necessarily a new name, having put together an All-American season for Medfield (Mass.) before deciding to reclass as a '29 at Nobles, there have been times he's been a bit overshadowed as part of an incredibly talented offensive group for 3d New England. Even so, Breslin has consistently impressed, showing off his silky mitts and a willingness to throw his compact frame around and dodge to high-percentage areas and do whatever it takes to score. His lacrosse IQ stands out, too, as he's a masterful and timely cutter who is always keeping his feet moving. I can't help but love the way he plays and feel like he'll be a tough cover in the ISL.

I was astonished that we had yet to publish an evaluation for Flanagan, who is arguably the top '28 two-way middie and every bit of a Top 50 recruit in the class, and probably even closer to Top 25. I'm cheating a bit here, as I didn't see the Red Hots during Tuesday's bracket play, but he was perhaps the most impactful player on the field in Wednesday's championship game. Likely to be recruited as a d-middie, where he bolstered national champion WRA this spring, he had two goals and one or two assists in the final at Navy. The hard-nosed and highly athletic Ohio native went right to left and put a shot over the goalie's shoulder, scored a rebound on a great follow-up, and had a beautiful assist to a teammate in the third quarter. His best play, however, came when Flanagan beat his man cleanly off the dodge, then got past two poles that slid to him. He's an absolute beast between the lines and makes so many noteworthy plays — at the next level, I see him playing a role like Virginia's Joey Terenzi or Hudson Hausmann. I can't say enough about his game and intangibles, and it seems that we've seen the last of him this summer, as he suffered an injury at Naptown and will be shut down the final few events of the summer.

A towering presence at 6-foot-5 and 190 pounds, King is the type of player who immediately catches your eye when he steps onto the field. From there, he's a hard-charging downhill dodger who uses his basketball-bred footwork, vision, and size to navigate past longsticks and create quality looks on cage. As feared as he is as a scorer, his unselfishness and passing ability are equally impressive — King excels at drawing slides and quickly finding teammates for quality scoring opportunities. He also has the luxury of playing alongside another of the Midwest's premier talents, midfielder Chase Jackson, a 6-foot-3 horse whom we highlighted the other day. When the ball is in his stick and the second slide comes, King will often put his shoulder down or wiggle past them to get his hands free in tight. I'm still of the belief that his very best lacrosse is still to come, especially as he continues to develop his off-hand.

If Littlejohn's last name sounds familiar, it's because he's the younger brother of Richmond star Lucas Littlejohn, who, among many other collegiate accomplishments, netted four goals in a 2025 NCAA First Round victory at UNC while collectively having the ball in his stick for just 0.83 seconds in total. His younger brother has a little more dodging prowess than that and similarly possesses ridiculous hands, finishing ability, and sneaky off-ball play. He had multiple goals in the game that I watched and was the bright spot in a rather one-sided loss, displaying soft hands inside and a multitude of absolutely nasty fakes before putting the goalies where goalies weren't. He's incredibly productive off the catch and has a wide array of releases and placement, shooting a hard and accurate ball from mid-range. While a reliable finisher, he could stand to improve his ball security against top-notch defenders, though I'd expect him to drastically improve that area of his game as he becomes more acquainted with the field game. Like most Canadians, there seems to be wiggle room with his grad year, as he played with the Evolve 2029s in Naptown's 2028 division and has a March 2020 birthdate. He'll head to Trinity-Pawling this fall.

At an event with no shortage of big names, Mack may have been the most dominant performer on Tuesday at Naptown. Quite frankly, he barely missed. A tall, talented, and clutch lefty from NorCal, Mack put up two goals in the first game that I saw against Madlax, then followed that up with a four-goal first half (and another in the second half) in the quarterfinals. Mack scored at the end of the first quarter, getting held blatantly by a shortstick yet scoring anyway, then tallied at the end of the half on a bit of a question mark. He was a pivotal piece of the puzzle in a thrilling upset win over Mad Dog, and showed off his confident and smooth dodging style up top. Throughout the day, he found the net on a few rollbacks and showed off his pretty over-the-top or three-quarters release that goalies had a rather difficult time picking up. He's super steady, gets to his spots, and has a plethora of release points. Projecting as a midfielder at the next level, he's played plenty of attack in the best, though Mack is undoubtedly at his best above the cage. Simply put, his Tuesday campaign made a statement and certainly raised his stock in the eyes of the college recruiters in attendance.
