Although Breslin may be one of the more unassuming players on the field each time he steps out there, he’s also among its toughest and craftiest offensive weapons, and his production doesn’t lie. He kicked off Tuesday’s action with a five-goal showing and got things done in a multitude of ways, burying a pretty BTB, throwing multiple fakes before finishing in front, and getting up the hash. And while he’s not necessarily a new name, having put together an All-American season for Medfield (Mass.) before deciding to reclass as a ’29 at Nobles, there have been times he’s been a bit overshadowed as part of an incredibly talented offensive group for 3d New England. Even so, Breslin has consistently impressed, showing off his silky mitts and a willingness to throw his compact frame around and dodge to high-percentage areas and do whatever it takes to score. His lacrosse IQ stands out, too, as he’s a masterful and timely cutter who is always keeping his feet moving. I can’t help but love the way he plays and feel like he’ll be a tough cover in the ISL.
