Intriguing Late July Commitments From Pennsylvania Prospects

Below is a review of five talented prospects from Pennsylvania who committed to play for a college lacrosse program here in late July.    Last week, D'Annunzio gave his verbal commitment to Mount St. Mary's. That announcement means that the Mount coaching staff has added an athletic pole with speed, size, and skills to their 2027 recruiting class. D'Annunzio is a two-time 1st Team All-Ches-Mont League selection who impacts every facet of the game. On the defensive end, D'Annunzio causes turnovers by taking the body or via stick checks, lifts, and pokes. He also does a fantastic job of intercepting or deflecting pass attempts. Once the ball is on the ground, D'Annunzio will vacuum up the GB and rush up field to create a transition opportunity. Or he will secure possession, roll into open space, and then smartly fire a clearing pass to an open teammate. Additionally, this high IQ prospect is a rock steady team defensive player who understands slide packages and when to execute double teams. D'Annunzio is a plus player on the face off wing too.     Day is a downhill, goal scoring midfielder who just flipped from UMass-Lowell to Manhattan. During the 2026 high school season, Day poured in 36 goals. It was the second straight year in which Day has scored 30 or more goals for Unionville. The long and fleet footed Day can cook the initial defender with a quick burst, then race past sliding poles for scoring chance in close. Day can also beat his man, dash into open and then slam on the breaks for a 15–18-yard rip. His ability to dodge going to his left or right makes it impossible for defenders to stay in front of Day. This high IQ offensive prospect will also use his field vision and feathery touch to deliver creative dimes. The Manhattan coaching staff will love Day's ability to operate in two-man action.     This talented lefty offensive prospect recently committed to Merrimack College. With his speed and serious shake, Krause can initiate from anywhere in the offensive end. However, Krause really excels when he operates at X. From behind the net, Krause can change directions multiple times until he separates from his defender and then dash to the front of the net for a scoring chance in close. Krause can also initiate form X, push up the hash and then turn and fire a jump shot into the net. Additionally, Krause can work the low lefty attack spot for catch and shoot goals. As a bonus, Krause can run at midfield too. From up top or the wing, Krause can dodge down the alley and then lose his defender with a cut back to the middle of the field. Once Krause finds open space, he will fire the ball into the net. The power and precise aim on Krause's cranks make him a legitimate step-down shooting threat too     During his epic junior campaign, this athletic midfielder with electric stick skills posted 63 goals and led Scranton Prep to the Wyoming Valley Conference title as well as the District 2-2A title and the PIAA 2A state quarterfinals. McPartland's incredible season garnered him the Wyoming Valley Conference and NEPA Player of the Year awards as well as District 2 POY honors. Thus, it should not come as a surprise that McPartland recently committed to Williams College (D3). McPartland's speed, elite stick skills and field vision enable him to thrive in unsettled action. On 6v6 possessions, McPartland can get downhill in flash and then score or distribute on the run. McPartland can also rip long range sidearms and overhands into the net. His swift release and creative shot placement make McPartland's perimeter cranks impossible to stop     Schreiber is an extraordinarily athletic and extremely physical SSDM prospect who recently flipped from UMass to Loyola. With his agility and speed, Schreiber is a menacing on ball short stick who tortures opponents with his thumper style. Schreiber is a master at using powerful stick checks and / or jarring body checks to cause turnovers. He also will not hesitate to execute a timely crowbar that puts the ball on the turf. Plus, Schreiber does a fantastic job of getting into ball carriers early in their dodge and stopping them cold. Schreiber's physicality and aggressive stick make him a ground ball machine. Once he has secured possession, Schreiber can explode over the midfield line and use his cut back skills to carry the ball deep into the offensive end. Schreiber can also absorb significant contact and still maintain possession on those fast breaks.
