<p>This past Saturday, reigning Delaware state champion Salesianum traveled out to Long Island for a matchup with No. 9 Chaminade.</p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>The visitors jumped all over Chaminade in the first quarter of this contest as Salesianum raced out to a 4-1 lead early on. Standout 2028 prospect Zachary Strohmeier posted a goal along with an assist during Sallies fast start.</p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>But then Chaminade's Hayden Sipress got rolling. Sipress (Yale) scored a goal at the end of the first quarter and then two more in the second quarter. That first half hat trick helped Chaminade go on a 6-2 run and grab a 7-6 lead at halftime.</p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>A back and forth third quarter produced a 11-9 advantage for Chaminade heading into the final stanza. That's when Chaminade's Brendan Sim took over. The Cornell commit poured in three goals in the 4th quarter and pushed the Flyers to a 14-11 win.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Yes, Garrity allowed 14 goals, but the Delaware signee was still really, really good in this game. Garrity was under fire all day and was called upon to make several fantastic saves to keep Salesianum within striking distance. The combination of Garrity's agility and fast hands produced a number of incredible stops. His poise while tracking and then stopping rebound attempts was impressive, too. Once the ball was in his stick, Garrity delivered a number of precise outlet passes that enabled Salesinaum to clear the ball with ease.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">On Saturday, this gifted attack prospect used his speed and polished stick skills to register two goals. On his first tally, Motta's was the trailer on fast break for Sallies. When he got to the far post, [player_tooltip player_id='126944' first='Ricky' last='Jewell'] dropped a nifty last-second dime back to him and Motta dunked home a lefty finish. On his second goal, the Delaware commit demonstrated his nose for the ball and swift reactions as he caught a rebound off the Chaminade goalie and then quick sticked the ball into the net. Motta's attacking style kept pressure on the Chaminade defense throughout the game.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">One of the most highly touted 2028 offensive prospects in the Delaware Valley lived up to the hype on Saturday versus elite competition. Against Chaminade, Strohmeier showcased his well-rounded stick skills, separation speed, and field vision, recording three goals and an assist. Two of Strohmeier's goals were impressive plays where he got downhill, dipped underneath his defender, and then charged to the net for a score. On the first goal, he came flying out of the box. On the second score, Strohmeier initiated from the wing. Strohmeier completed the hat trick when he got down the right alley and then cranked a shot past the goalie while running full speed.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Fox showcased his versatile offensive skill set on Saturday on his way to posting three goals. The Michigan commit scored a goal via a lefty catch and rip from the perimeter. He also found the back of the net by dodging from X, and as he crossed GLE, Fox fired a low, lefty sidearm shot past the Salesianum goalie. Fox finished off his hat trick late in the 3rd quarter. On that remarkable play, Fox initiated from the right wing, blew past his man, and when he got to the crease, he slipped a crafty left-handed, low bouncer into the net. The Michigan coaching staff will love Fox's ability to play with either hand as well as his explosive first step. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">This Cornell commit served as the closer for Chaminade during their high-profile win. Sim posted four goals on Saturday, three of which came during the 4th quarter as he cemented the victory for the Flyers. The most impressive of his 4th quarter goals came when Sim exploded down the right alley, gained a step on his man, then flipped his stick to his inside hand before depositing the ball into the net via a lefty overhand. Sim displayed serious shake and refined stick skills throughout this game. He was impossible to defend 1v1, which put constant pressure on Salesianum's slide package. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">On Saturday, Sipress scored five goals as he propelled Chaminade to victory. Four of the five goals by Sipress were absolute missiles from deep on the perimeter. To be honest, I am not sure I have the words to describe the incredible long-range shooting display that Sipress put on during this win. The quick release, power, and accuracy of his shot were jaw-dropping. The way Sipress' feet were always set, so he was ready to immediately catch and fire on net was impressive too. Sipress also showed his versatility on a crafty off-ball move that led to a catch and dunk goal on the crease. </p>
