March was full of phenomenal non-conference matchups in the Mid-Atlantic, and we were able to catch a ton both in person and on film. Compared to this time last year, there's been an abundance of talented '27s filling sizable roles for their respective teams — here's a look at five names worth knowing:

Between his size and skill set, Henneberry has really started to come into his own as a defender. Watching Gonzaga live last night, it was evident just how capable he is as a leader and communicator — his voice was consistently heard. He maintained a strong posture with his stick in the right position and was effective getting out on the hands and stick, especially in the 10-man ride. Away from the ball, he did a great job occupying space and sliding, frequently creating disruption. He's smooth off the ground and consistently makes the right decisions with the ball in his stick. Between Henneberry and junior Paul Choquette (who we'll have more on soon), Jeff King has a talented group of '27 defenders in his program.

This fall, I couldn't help but notice how consistently Kelly put himself in the right spots to finish plays. He's carried that momentum into the spring and has been on a hot streak lately, emerging as a key contributor in his junior season. Kelly closed out non-conference play in impressive fashion, recording a hat trick against Blue Ridge, a byproduct of his off-ball instincts and opportunistic scoring ability. His feet are always moving, and he has a natural feel for when and where to cut. Recently, when Kelly finds space, he's converting at a high rate. On Friday, he delivered again, scoring an EMO goal from the wing that ultimately stood as the game-winner in the Lakers' rivalry matchup with McDonogh. Moving forward, it would be great to see him continue developing as a dodger, but his ability to embrace and excel in his current role has been highly impressive.

Following the graduation of an outstanding senior class, the reigning national champions sorely needed some underclassmen to step up in 2026, and Perdew has done exactly that. The lefty plays with a ton of energy at all times, and though he's definitely on the smaller side, he's athletic and has exceptional body control, along with slick mitts. His game is a tad unconventional, and that was apparent during his three-goal outing against Hill, as I'm pretty sure he left his feet and/or did a 180 on every goal. That being said, Perdew has an excellent handle and is an absolute pitbull on the ride and off the ground, constantly picking up key groundballs and putting in the work in the riding game. He excels at finding seams in defenses and routinely takes a beating, yet keeps on chugging. At times, he's been Calvert Hall's most efficient and productive offensive player (which says a lot), but maintaining consistency will be the key for Perdew going forward. So far, he's been a pleasure to watch.

The lefty brings constant energy and, despite being undersized, pairs his athleticism with exceptional body control and soft hands.

His game is a bit unconventional, which was on full display during his three-goal performance against Hill, where each finish seemed to involve leaving his feet and/or spinning through contact. Still, Perdew's handle is excellent, and he's relentless on the ride and off the ground, consistently coming up with key ground balls and doing the dirty work.

Weber's upward trajectory reached another level Tuesday night, as he recorded a hat trick at home against Landon. His first goal came as a reward for relentless off-ball movement throughout the possession, eventually finding space on the wing, catching the ball across his body, and uncorking one high offside. On his second, Weber planted his foot to shake a shorty behind the cage, used a head-and-shoulder fake to make the goalie move, and finished in front. He completed the hat trick by sweeping to his right against another shorty and capitalizing on the matchup. Overall, Weber is a smooth operator who consistently creates separation and gets his hands free. From there, he's a dangerous shooter with a pretty release. I really like where his game is headed, and it'll be interesting to see the level of recruiting attention he draws after the season.

Playing with a high level of confidence, Whitman is in the midst of a breakthrough season for the Lakers and has consistently made an impact every time I've seen BL, both on film and in person. In Friday afternoon's home matchup against McDonogh, he delivered an electric fourth-quarter goal from his own 40-yard line against the Eagles' 10-man ride, tying the game. Whitman plays with tenacity while remaining under control, and his decision-making and off-ball instincts are outstanding. He frequently gets his stick on passes — knocking them down or picking them off — before pushing the ball in transition. He's also effective as a slider, makes fundamentally sound approaches, and does an excellent job steering his assignment away from high-percentage scoring areas. Based on what I've seen over the past few weeks, Whitman is certainly deserving of Division I attention.
