South Jersey 2029s On Our Radar

Below is a review of Class of 2029 prospects from southern New Jersey who are on our radar.   We will be watching these players closely during October and November.    This past summer Bonelli put his name of the recruiting map by dominating the competition at the NLF National Championships. His outstanding weekend at the face off dot helped push Futures to the 2029 division title at that NLF event. Bonelli is a technically sound FOGO with quick reaction times. That combination frequently produces clean wins that allow Bonelli to sprint into the offensive and create scoring opportunities. One item that really pops about Bonelli is his ability to shoot / distribute on the run with either hand. That is a rare trait among 2029 prospects. Bonelli's use of spins and box outs to secure possession is impressive too. This 2029 FOGO also does a fantastic job of analyzing his opponent on the fly and executing counters. Bonelli owns polished stick skills along with serious shake, so he is an asset in 6v6 action too.     This dynamic offensive threat possesses a quick burst and polished stick skills. Chiarieri can get downhill from the wing as well as up top and then fire on net or feed to an open teammate while on the run. He frequently uses a beautiful hitch move to set up his charges on the cage. Chiarieri can dodge going left or right and then shoot / feed with either hand. This 2029 prospect is a lethal step-down shooter too. College coaches will love the quick release and accuracy on Chiarieri's long distance shots. Chiarieri's high IQ and field awareness produce well time off-ball movements that lead to easy scoring opportunities. Once he is in-close, Chiarieri's creative finishing moves render opposing goalies helpless.       McGovern is a multi-skilled midfield / attack prospect who burst onto the recruiting scene this past summer when he led Team New Jersey to the National All-Star Games 2029 division title and was named MVP. Two items really pop about McGovern's skill set. The first is his ability to crank distance shots into the back of the net from anywhere on the field. McGovern can score from deep via powerful overhands as well as nasty sidearms and crafty bouncers. His ability to catch and fire quickly is extremely rare for a 2029. The second element about McGovern's game that immediately catches your eye is his capacity to change directions multiple times on the same dodge. McGovern can get downhill in a flash and then repeatedly cut on a dime until he gets his hands free for a rip. That elusive footwork makes McGovern extremely difficult to defend 1-on-1. McGovern has flashed solid SSDM skills too.     Pierce is a versatile prospect who has demonstrated that he can perform at a high level as a LSM or SSDM. At both spots, Pierce's speed and fluid lateral movements enable him to stay glued to ball carriers in open space. His active stick and powerful shoulder checks frequently create turnovers. Pierce is a fantastic ground ball player too. Once he has secured possession, Pierce's speed, and ability to maneuver through traffic enable him to push the transition game. Pierce is a legitimate threat to score a pole goal on the fast break. In 6v6 defensive action, Pierce has a knack for breaking up passes with his stick. Finally, this athletic and high IQ LSM has proven that he can be an effective change up at the face off dot.            A native of Springfield, New Jersey, Stebbings is an elusive attack with a patient and calculating approach. When his charges to the net are halted, Stebbings will remain poised and simply re-dodge until a high percentage opportunity for himself or a teammate presents itself. On other runs at the cage, Stebbings will patiently change directions multiple times until he loses the defender, and then finds space for a shot or to feed an open teammate. Off-ball, Stebbings excels at cutting behind a defender's helmet, receiving a pass and then finishing in close. He is especially effective at sweeping from X to the front of the crease for a dunk. Stebbings also does a fantastic job drifting around GLE where he is a serious threat unleash a rocket into the net.
