Standouts at the 2025 Prime Time Summer Invitational

The Prime Time Summer Invitational, hosted at Yale's pristine athletic facilities, kicked off the summer lacrosse season in high gear. As one of the first marquee events of the summer, it brought together elite club teams from the Classes of 2026 (rising seniors), 2027 (rising juniors), and 2028 (rising sophomores), all vying for visibility and evaluation before the busy recruiting months ahead.   What truly elevated this Invitational was the sheer volume of college coaches in attendance, well over 160, representing Division I, II, and III programs. Coaches had their eyes peeled not only for rising seniors (2026), where they aimed to finalize class rosters or even flip existing commitments, but also started checking in on 2027s, as this is one of the first tournaments of their recruiting summer.   From the opening whistle, games were fast-paced and competitive, with athletes showcasing elite team chemistry, lacrosse IQ, and athleticism. The platform allowed rising seniors to solidify their reputations and rising juniors to make early impressions on the college circuit.    In summary, the Prime Time Summer Invitational at Yale delivered exactly what it promised: elite-level competition, dynamic exposure for players, and heavy college coach presence early in the summer. For 2026s, it was a critical venue to wrap up recruiting conversations; for 2027s, a valuable opportunity to catch the coaching staff's eye and get on their radar. Alex Barbagallo, a 5'11 FOGO in the Class of 2026, is a standout for Prime Time and Green Farms Academy. An All-NEPSAC and All-FAA selection, Barbagallo boasts an eye-popping 88% faceoff win rate and was named team MVP for his dominance at the face-off dot. He combines lightning-quick hands with relentless effort, routinely jumpstarting transition and generating fast breaks. What separates Barbagallo from other FOGOs is his ability to win almost every ground ball when he doesn't win the face-off clean. He can dig the ball out of a scrum with ease and is very confident handling the ball. Barbagallo's toughness and technique allow him to outwork opponents for ground balls and confidently push the ball upfield. With 30 points on the season (16 goals, 14 assists), he's not just a faceoff star; he's a complete playmaker.     [player_tooltip player_id='15965' first='Alex' last='Moskowitz'], a 6'1 attackman in the Class of 2027, is a physical and polished offensive weapon for the Predators and King School. A two-time All-NEPSAC selection, Moskowitz combines his big frame with exceptional footwork, great speed for his size, and a fundamentally sound game that makes him a nightmare matchup for defenders. He's a true dual-threat offensive player with his two-handed versatility, equally effective as a feeder and finisher, with 75 points on the season (51 goals, 24 assists). Moskowitz is equally dangerous shooting from the outside and finishing on the crease. Moskowitz absorbs contact with ease and keeps defenders off balance with his size and speed. His blend of size, skill, speed, and field awareness sets him apart as one of the premier 2027 attackmen in the nation.     Jason Koo, a 5'9 midfielder in the Class of 2026, starts for Prime Time and Don Bosco Prep. One of the most lethal outside shooters in the class of 2026, Koo consistently buries shots from distance with pinpoint accuracy using either hand. His blistering speed makes him a dangerous threat in transition and a major asset on the wings during faceoffs. He thrives as an on-the-run shooter, creating separation and letting it fly with confidence and velocity. Koo's combination of explosiveness, ambidextrous shooting, and high lacrosse IQ makes him one of the more dynamic midfielders in the 2026 class.     Nick Homer, a 6'1 lefty attackman from Scotch Plains - Fanwood, is a crafty and well-rounded offensive threat. Known for his slick play and excellent footwork, Homer is a dynamic dodger who thrives when attacking around the crease. He has a smooth release with pinpoint shot placement and the ability to finish with either hand. His two-handedness makes him unpredictable, while his poise and IQ allow him to read defenses and create high-percentage shot opportunities. Homer's skill set makes him a constant problem for opposing defenses.     Derek Sabel, a 5'9 lefty midfielder from Seton Hall Prep, is an explosive offensive weapon with elite quickness and change of direction ability. He routinely blows past D-Middies and LSMs with ease, creating separation and generating high-quality looks. Sabel has a lethal shot on the run and can stretch defenses with his shooting range. Beyond his scoring ability, he's also a poised facilitator, consistently drawing slides and finding open teammates. His combination of speed, shooting, and unselfish play makes him a dynamic two-way threat from the midfield.     Sean Currie, a towering 6'7, 230-pound defender from Lawrenceville, is one of the most physically imposing poles in the 2027 class. With the build of an SEC Tight End or Defensive End, Currie combines size with agility and speed, showcasing strong lateral movement and excellent fundamental defense. Equally comfortable at close defense or Long stick Midfield, he can lock down quick attackmen at X or athletic midfielders from up top. His stick skills and lacrosse IQ allow him to make smart reads and stay patient in the clear, but he is also able to clear the ball himself and start a fast break. Currie's blend of size, versatility, and poise makes him a defensive force and a top defensive prospect in the class of 2027.
