In 2024 we saw excitement throughout the Florida High School Athletic Association's State Tournaments with both the 1A & 2A brackets respectively...   Lake Mary went 24-1 on the season dropping their only loss at home against St. Andrew's in mid-March. They picked up big out-of-state wins against Lambert (GA), Lucy Beckham (SC), Lake Norman (NC), & Seton Hall Prep (NJ). The Rams earned the #1 seed in the 2A bracket for the second straight year & went into the tournament as defending State Champions. Last year in 2023, Lake Mary captured their first State Title besting St. Thomas Aquinas with a score of 13 to 5. This year, the Raiders from Fort Lauderdale earned the #4 seed & presented a major challenge in the Semi-Finals to #1 Lake Mary. Once more, St. Thomas Aquinas ultimately fell to the Rams with a score of 11 to 10 concluding a highly competitive contest! St. Thomas Aquinas had arguably the toughest schedule in 2024 finishing with a 12-9 record. On the other side of the 2A tournament bracket, Plant earned the #2 seed & locked down against #3 seed Winter Park. The Panthers defeated the Wildcats by a score of 7 to 2 in State Semi-Finals where Winter Park finished the year with a 13-6 record. Lake Mary ended up cruising their way into victory beating Plant soundly 15 to 4 in the State Championship! Plant finished their season with a 19-4 record. Lake Mary became the fourth program in Florida's State History to win back-to-back State Championships.   Historical Context: in the beginning of the FHSAA Lacrosse did not have separate classifications. For twelve years, one champion was crowned without reservation. St. Andrew's won three straight State Championships outright in 2008-2010. After a couple years of trade offs it was Lake Highland's time to three-peat in 2013-2015. The Scots & the Highlanders both won four State Championships in a five-year timespan. They accounted for each of the first eight championships in the FHSAA. On the heels of the Highlander's success, St. Thomas Aquinas won back-to-back State Championships in 2016 & 2017 becoming the third program to repeat. Jupiter (2018) & Ponte Vedra (2019) have since joined this exclusive club of Champions with one championship a piece before the classification changes in 2021. The classification changes brought more healthy competition as Jupiter won the first-ever 2A State Championship in 2021. St. Thomas Aquinas followed up with a resurgence winning the 2A State Championship in 2022 before Lake Mary achieved back-to-back titles in 2023 & 2024! The Rams are the first team to repeat as champions consecutively at the 2A level since its inception in 2021!   Since the inauguration of separate classifications (1A & 2A) respectively, the St. Andrew's program returned to form, dominating the State's 1A bracket from 2021-2023. The Scots took home their second Three-Peat & eighth overall championship in school history! It was not until this year (2024) in the Semi-Finals we saw the juggernaut go down in a classic David & Goliath battle. The Community School of Naples was seeded #4 & would beat #1 seed St. Andrew's 11 to 10 in a breathtaking overtime victory! The St. Andrew's upset in the semi-finals did not completely take away from the fact that the Scots went 22-2 on the Year with their only other loss coming from perennial powerhouse Boy's Latin, (MD). On the flip side of the 1A bracket, #2 seed Benjamin took care of #3 seed Bolles 19 to 7 with ease. Bolles is another emerging program finishing with a record of 21-3. In the end, Benjamin rose to the occasion & now holds their first title as 2024 FHSAA 1A State Champions! The Buccaneers defeated the Seahawks from Naples 11 to 10 in dramatic fashion concluding an excellent season! 1A Runner Up, Community School of Naples finished with a record of 19-5 while State Champion 1A Benjamin finished with a record of 21-1. Benjamin suffered their only loss early in February to none other than St. Andrew's by a score of 16 to 10. Also, the Buccaneers picked up other major wins against Jupiter (twice), Cardinal Mooney, & Lake Highland Prep on their way to beating Bolles in the semi-finals, & then CSN in the 1A Championship.   The Sunshine State is home to 15 returning All-American players from five of Florida's main regions: 5 (South-Atlantic), 4 (South), 3 (Gulf Coast), & 3 (Northwest). The landscape in 2025 looks bright with additional All-State players returning as well as IMG's top student-athletes. IMG is a known International Management Group that provides boarding opportunities in addition to Post-Graduate plans for players on their National Team. IMG Academy has sent over 25 players to Division 1 programs over the last five years & will play against some of the world's most competitive teams in exhibition or tournament-style play! Look for these Sunshine State Super Stars to have an impact at the next level:    Winston Rhock is a key transfer for IMG as he has the potential to make a historical splash at the next level. Winston is a distinguished leader who was selected to serve as a Team Captain for his former Varsity & Club program(s) respectively. Rhock is a stalwart on defense! He is as consistent & reliable as they come with a high motor & lax IQ. Winston is a versatile weapon who possesses all of the requisite tools to develop into an elite defender. He shows prowess up top & dexterity down low. Winston is experienced on the man-down unit playing the passing lanes, extending shooters with his range, & contesting shots. Rhock has a different gear than most & is no doubt one of the fastest lacrosse players in the country. He has the talent to line up all over the field including the wing of the face-off. Winston makes a substantial impact by guarding the ball 1 on 1 or rotating within the team's defensive scheme. Winston is a major help with his range to cause turnovers, scoop up ground balls, & in the clear for transition. Verbally committed to Hampton.     [player_tooltip player_id='16404' first='Dylan' last='Faison'] earned US Lacrosse All-American (FL-South) scoring 142 points with 97 goals & 45 assists for the St. Andrew's Scots in 2024. As a freshman (2023), Faison earned US Lacrosse All-American (FL-South Atlantic) at Pine Crest playing alongside his older brother. Dylan competes with a rare swagger & is a superb athlete. He uses size, speed, & strength to get leverage firing off high-percentage shots. Faison is a productive off-ball finisher as well as a creator. He makes the highlight play look routine with an acrobatic finish or a behind-the-back assist. Dylan is a pin-point accurate shooter who shows the ability to finish with either hand from up top as a midfielder or behind the goal as an attacker. Faison is a top player in the country & #1 overall player candidate in his class. He is a consensus five-star prospect. Verbally committed to Notre Dame.     [player_tooltip player_id='14569' first='Dylan' last='Furshman'] earned US Lacrosse All-American (FL-South) in 2023 & 2024. Furshman is a thoroughbred at the X who is capable of dominating the draw for an entire game, just ask the 2024 FHSAA 1A State Champions. Benjamin had zero answers for Dlyan as he went 23/23 against the Bucs for a perfect game. Technically, there are limited ways you can take the ball from him. Coaches strategize to concede the draw & limit Furshman's ability to score quickly in transition. Dylan is an energizer for his team & has the play style to ignite his teammates making others around him better. Furshman is a 4-star prospect who is a consensus top-100 player in his class. Verbally committed to Ohio State.     Jack Kelleher earned 2nd Team All-State 1A in 2024 as a freshman. Jack is a natural left-handed attacker who tied Benjamin's points record with 116 this past spring. He scored 75 goals while adding 41 assists. This State Champion attacker also added 52 points as an 8th grader on Varsity in 2023. Kelleher is a smooth operator from the left wing where he pings it as a pure shooter! On the inside, he is a sure finisher with quality stick protection. Also capable of hitting a strong behind-the-back shot that changes levels. Jack can move with a clean hitch topside, or drag underneath for a goal. He keeps plays alive staying ahead of the curve when the ball seems to take a ricochet or weird bounce. Kelleher is proactive with pump fakes & vision to pass to the open player in front of the goal during unsettled. A talented playmaker who is developing point qualities for the extra-man unit with elite field vision! Kelleher is on a great trajectory to be one of the most prolific scorers in Florida's State History.     [player_tooltip player_id='45440' first='James' last='Finch'] earned US Lacrosse All-American (FL-South Atlantic) in 2023 & 2024. James posted 62 goals & 31 assists as a freshman plus 71 goals & 48 assists as a sophomore. Finch's production is off the charts with 212 career points so far & he is only halfway through his high school career. James is an explosive dodger with a quick first step & timely change of direction. He passes the ball well, quickly finding his teammates after he draws a slide. James garners a lot of attention yet still finds a way to turn the corner with either hand & finish for himself. Finch can find the back of the net from deep using a fundamental shooting stroke & is smooth with his split dodge. James can operate from behind, the right wing, or even sweep up top. He has a wicked backhand shot when spinning through traffic or caught on the left side. James shows soft hands catching the ball & is a talented playmaker. He is a consensus top player in the 2026 class. Verbally committed to Ohio State.     [player_tooltip player_id='40426' first='Nick' last='Testa'] earned US Lacrosse All-American (FL-South) in 2024. He is a spark plug at the midfield & has the skill set of an elite attacker. Nick earned 2nd Team All-State 1A on attack for the Scots in 2023. He is determined to stay active in defense playing with physicality. Testa uses his turbo jets & swim moves in the clear as he pushes the pace in the middle of the field. He can step into his shot from up top with both hands. Testa is also dangerous without the ball because he cuts into space at full speed demanding the ball for an inside dunk. Nick can shake with the best of them & uses a variety of different moves to stay dangerous. Initiating from X is almost automatic as Testa is agile enough to wrap around the goal, stop on a dime & inside roll, or set you up with a question mark dodge. Nick is an advanced passer & can put it on the money. He is particularly productive inverting his match-up. He is a consensus top player in the 2026 class. Verbally committed to Johns Hopkins.     [player_tooltip player_id='45418' first='JP' last='Maggio'] is a force on the field, dominating with hustle from goal line to goal line. JP uses a heavy chop with nagging poke checks, can-openers, & whatever else he can do to get into the ball carrier's hands. Maggio is extremely disruptive with his active stick & is an absolute wizard at dislodging the ball. In addition to causing turnovers, scooping up the ground ball & stealing possessions is something JP normalizes. Valuable in the clear & on the man-down unit as he has the skill set of an offensive midfielder playing with a long stick. Maggio is a heads up & ready before the whistle type of player. Look for him to use his instincts to get ahead of the play as he can leak out & cause problems for opponents in the transition game. He is a good passer with quality stickwork & one of the highest lax IQ's on the field. Maggio is disciplined with his breakdowns & shuffles quickly into proper positioning. Verbally committed to the Army.     [player_tooltip player_id='48391' first='Alexander' last='Ponchock'] earned US Lacrosse All-American (FL-South) in 2024. He was an offensive catalyst helping Benjamin win their first FHSAA 1A State Championship! The junior put up 61 goals & 55 assists for 116 points. Ponchock has an athletic bounce in his step where he can get underneath using an elusive face dodge or burst top side up the hash. He has serious acceleration running by defenders. Alexander primarily initiates offense from behind the goal where he can split either direction. He will also operate on the right wing. Ponchock shows the ability to finish quick-sticks in tight in addition to working the high crease for catch & shoot opportunities with an effective jumper. He positions himself to capitalize without the ball & will make the extra pass if his teammate has a better opportunity. Ponchok is a student of the game. Verbally committed to the Navy.     Zachary Rosenberg earned US Lacrosse All-American (FL-South Atlantic) in 2024. Rosenberg is considered Deep South's #1 ranked goalie for the 2025 class. Zachary sees the ball in with central & peripheral vision. He holds his pipe 6 feet & will position himself on the arc at 33 degrees to eliminate wasted movement, increasing the probability of making saves on the doorstep! Rosenberg matches the shooter's stick with strong reflexes, wiping across the top or staying disciplined on the stick side. He steps down the line athletically changing levels & corralling any rebounds near his feet. Rosenberg pushes the break with his legs like a midfielder but also has a nice touch on his outlet pass leading his teammates into success in the clear. Zachary buys into the fact that the goalie starts the offense by looking down the field with keen awareness. Rosenberg has the potential to make a splash early at the next level as he is used to being familiar with strong competition. Verbally committed to Washington & Lee.     [player_tooltip player_id='126598' first='Jayden' last='Vega'] earned 1st Team All-State 1A the past two seasons in 2023 & 2024. Jayden is perhaps the most dominant athlete on the field for defending 2024 1A State Champions, Benjamin. Vega can square up anybody & run down the alley to ping a corner. He has a rocket of a shot & can fight his way into the middle of a crowded defense & let off a behind-the-back bullet. Jayden is sound on defense taking an inside-out approach to funnel dodgers down the alley. He does a good job keeping his feet & denying any roll-backs on extended dodges. Vega looks to lead in a press-down ride as a complete player with effort & intensity often stealing some possessions for second-chance opportunities. Jayden is an extremely tough cover due to his ability to flex between the midfield & the attack. He quarterbacks as a prolific passer while still holding defenses accountable with his big-time shot. Verbally committed to Brown.     [player_tooltip player_id='17971' first='Jos' last='Chois'] is a Team Captain at IMG where he was awarded Advanced Performance Development recognition. Jos has breakaway speed & can take it coast to coast. He is an energetic two-way midfielder who can jam on defense & then become a human clearing machine. Chois stands out with defensive diligence & scooping up possessions to make moves in transition. Jos has a rip when he bullies to his right & sometimes makes a point to come back & dunk on you with his left. He is difficult to defend with a hard step-down shot & the ability to shoot with accuracy on the run. Chois has the lax IQ to make the appropriate pass allowing the ball to move fastest through the air for assistance. He is a dangerous 2-way midfielder with great endurance. Jos has the potential to compete immediately at the next level. A consensus 4-star prospect. Verbally committed to Johns Hopkins.     [player_tooltip player_id='45458' first='Jake' last='Ivancevic'] earned 2nd Team All-State 1A in 2024 while leading the Buccaneers to their first FHSAA 1A State Championship in school history. Jake is a well-rounded defender with a comprehensive approach to the sport. He registered 9 goals & 3 assists on the year while collecting 76 ground balls. Ivancevic is a tough cover who can match feet & press out on the perimeter knocking down passes & throwing checks to cause turnovers. Jake cranks in transition, also showing the willingness to make the right pass & hit the point. Ivancevik has a slick stick with deceptive ball fakes. This helps him finesse to his left & score on the run with a pole. Ivancevic is sensational on the wing scooping up the ground ball & power-cradling through traffic with valuable possession. He is the fastest player on the team in a timed sprint with a natural sense to double the blind side. Jake is proven to be a top-performing MVP candidate during championship play. He is multidimensional in the fact that he can take draws with his pole & contain a draw specialist from creating forward scoring opportunities. Ivancevic has an immense amount of potential upside as one of the best defenders in the state!     [player_tooltip player_id='35163' first='Michael' last='Slusar'] earned 1st Team All-State 1A in 2024 for CSN. Michael was credited with a save percentage of 70% in 24 games going 19-5 as a Sophomore. Michael made multiple clutch saves in OT to help propel CSN to victory in the State Semi-Finals over #1 seed St. Andrews. Slusar is an enormous lefty that looks larger than life in goal. His positioning is hard to beat considering how much surface area he takes up naturally in his stance. Michael has a different style as a field commander, forcing shooters to change up. He sits patiently on high heat staying high & reacting low. Slusar shows quick hands punching over the top & tracks the ball well down to his feet or off the bounce. He holds his pipe with confidence & outlets the ball efficiently after making most of his saves clean. A consensus 4-star prospect with All-American potential in the coming years. Verbally committed to UPenn.     Zachary Lewis earned US Lacrosse All-American (FL-Gulf Coast) in 2024. Zachary won 255 faceoffs, scored 70 points, & scooped up 162 ground balls. During Lewis' sophomore season in 2023, he posted a 72% win rate on faceoffs out of 331 attempts along with 7 goals & 14 assists. Zachary is massively successful with the plunger on the whistle. He gets active in seconds & shows a nice crow hop into a step-down shot that he bounces past the goalies. Lewis is defensively in tune working to pick off passes. Zachary can stay to play offense, cutting off the ball & catching passes where he can be dangerous. Lewis has quick hands at the X but is more than the typical face-off & get-off player. He can be used all over the field, dodge, pass, and shoot!     Turner Tarrasch earned US Lacrosse All-American (FL-Gulf Coast) in 2024. Turner is a staple on defense that helped lead CSN to a 1A State-Finals appearance. He is a big, thick, defender running the field with a powerful stride. Turner has a quick drop step in coverage & shuffles to close out where he can begin to use his physicality. He tosses attackers off their line by getting his hands on hips & driving them out. On the crease, Turner can lay some lumber when he slides to make contact. Tarrasch shows the makings of a takeaway artist applying pressure on the perimeter. Turner's back checks turn into helicopter yard sales & he can go over the head for an easy rip out. Tarrasch is tenacious off the ground scooping up possession & immediately finding the open man. Verbally committed to Richmond.     Luke Shale earned 1st Team All-State 2A in 2024 while helping the Rams capture their second straight State Championship. Luke is big & tall with a brilliant change of direction. He is long with the ability to hammer home next-level shots on the run. Shale can shake defenders easily with his athletic ability to free his hands and become a dangerous scoring threat as a stretch shooter. He has a powerful & accurate jump shot, especially down the right alley. Luke will invert a short-stick matchup & force them into uncomfortable situations in the big-little. He has the speed to beat the defense & wrap it around for an easy dunk but is also a serviceable passer going to his left. Shale stays topside on defense forcing dodgers down the alley. He is a midfielder you can depend on in the clearing game going from defense to offense & reading the fast-break triangle offense with ease. Verbally committed to Utah.     Tatum Little earned 1st Team All-State 1A in 2024. Little was the backbone of Benjamin's State Championship team. The sophomore was sturdy in the cage all season long while making magic happen outside of the crease in the clear. Tatum's stick skills are supreme with a bombing outlet, behind-the-back passing on the run & handles to catch errant throws. He is elusive in the open field & can also make plays with his feet to find the open man. Little has an electric play-style & isn't afraid to challenge a dodger at Goal Line Extended aggressively making a hit. Tatum plays physical & is also routinely in the right place at the right time. He plays deep in the cage maximizing reaction time & snagging highlight reel off-stick low shots. Little is consistent up high protecting the third level of the goal. He has major upside potential as he progresses to the next level.     Kyan East earned US Lacrosse All-American (FL-South Atlantic) in 2024. Kyan is a workhorse on defense with ridiculous speed. He is credited as a leader & oftentimes the first guy out to the field. East is already named a captain for the 2025 season who is trusted to line up all over the field! He makes a substantial impact on the face-off wing where he can swing momentum by scooping up valuable possessions. Kyan is comfortable floating over the mid-line on the clear & handling the ball before safely transporting it to the attack. He has the ball control & security to take it himself in transition. East plays bigger than he is with a tenacious edge & great feet as an outstanding 1 on 1 cover guy. Verbally committed to Stony Brook.     Cal Wyatt earned US Lacrosse All-American (FL-Gulf Coast) in 2024. Wyatt scored a total of 114 points with 81 goals & 33 assists. Cal displays everything you would want to see in a left-handed attacker. A speedy dodger that can go over the top or underneath. He snaps his shots off with good steam. Cal has a fluid swim move to continue his dodge past a sliding defender. He glides into dangerous zones on the field & is poised in clutch situations. Wyatt scored the game-winning goal in overtime right-handed in the State Semi-finals. Wyatt is most effective as a passer in the lower-left quadrant of the field. He can spot feed to the crease for a high percentage catch & finish. Verbally committed to UPenn.     Aiden Eriksen earned 1st Team All-State 1A in 2024 & 2nd Team All-State 1A in 2023 as a defender for the Tigers. Aiden is a standout hustler who ferociously competes after the loose ball, leading his team in ground balls for consecutive seasons (2023-2024). He plays off-ball with a cunning posture, using a strong hedge or fake slide to deter the dodger. Eriksen can close out quickly when it is time to collapse with a strong checking ability. He is a crafty doubler who can cause turnovers & push the transition for a goal. Aiden drops steps with fluid hips as he gains leverage underneath the arm to lock up dodgers from behind. His V-hold is strong at the Island as he can bench press dodgers with force. Eriksen is considered a freak in the weight room with a high motor & an unbelievable work ethic. He has been considered one of the best defenders in the State for a while now. Verbally committed to Providence.     Jack Lorenz is considered a defensive specialist at the midfield who vigorously bodied the competition in efforts for consecutive 2A State Championships with Lake Mary. Jack is a known menace that sits adjacently off the ball until it's time to rotate & put offensive players on their backside. He is a feared hitter who plays disciplined defense & can work around pick play. Lorenz is fast & can run the rail behind the goal playing his angles under control allowing him to get a firm hand on the dodger dictating where the ball will go. Up top, Jack works his way outside the box to challenge opponents & he matches feet with elite cover skills. Lorenz possesses great awareness within the team's defensive schemes consistently playing hips to the corner unless a special instance he needs to take away someone's dominant hand. Jack can leg it on the clear & transfer the ball safely to an attacker showing his effective stick skills & heads-up passing ability. Verbally committed to Georgetown.     [player_tooltip player_id='45447' first='Cole' last='Peck'] contributed to the Tampa Jesuit Varsity program since freshman year, collecting career totals of 101 goals & 71 assists in two seasons. As a sophomore, Peck Peck scored 56 goals & added 33 assists for a total of 89 points in 2024. Cole is a standout speedster who hustles his way into dangerous positions on the field. Peck can initiate against a pole or play without the ball for quick stick finishes In front of the goal. He has the burst & agility to get to either hand as displayed with 6 goals & 3 assists vs 2A runner-up, Plant. Peck shows the willingness to come out of the box and provide juice to his team as someone who generally makes everyone around him a better player. In the ride, Cole is a special athlete who is tough as nails fighting to get the ball back. Verbally committed to Michigan.     [player_tooltip player_id='36003' first='Shovan' last='Eriksson'] is a big, strong, lefty with a blended skill set. He can produce offensively up top in the midfield or down low on attack. Shovan gets a lot of velocity on his step-down shot & does an excellent job changing levels. Eriksson's height makes him a massive target where he can hang on the wing or flash to the back pipe. Working inside-out, Shovan finds the sweet spots in a defense, working to get open & free his hands. He is especially effective on the left side of the attack triangle during unsettled offense. Eriksson is a crafty playmaker who registered a hat-trick in the first half vs Boy's Latin (MD), where he brought the noise with time & space. Eriksson has noteworthy stickhandles & finishes with authority! A consensus 4-star prospect. Verbally committed to Denver.     Owen Thomas earned earned US Lacrosse All-American (FL-South Atlantic) in 2024. Owen is notorious as a shut-down defender on a very good defense. Thomas is accustomed to guarding the best attacker on the opposing team or having the others seal off their man while he hunts. He is disruptive in the middle of the defense & holds his spot with poise. Owen uses a high lax IQ for well-timed approaches or slides. He gets active in the recovery process by knocking down passes in an adjacent help position. Thomas is a solid stick handler from the low base as an anchor in the clear. He has the athletic prowess to carry the ball over the mid-line and work to get the ball safely to his attackers. Owen Thomas has been selected as a Captain for the 2025 season. Verbally committed to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.     Sebastian Schnur earned US Lacrosse All-American (FL-South Atlantic) in 2024. Sebastian quarterbacks the offense from behind the goal & stirs the drink for his offense as the focal point in the offense. He does a great job carrying the ball with his eyes up & distributing assists with an even keel. The junior notched 45 goals & administered 85 assists for 130 points total. Schnur uses a stutter step move that is productive in gaining an advantage on an island where he can get topside, slip underneath, or use a quick inside roll to finish. Schnur can take it for himself, finishing with And1 style as he draws penalties after scoring. Sebastian is comfortable using picks in the two-man game & creating confusion between defenders. At X his vision & passing skills allow him to triple his production averaging 6.2 points per game for the Raiders.     Greer Boree earned 1st Team All-State 1A in 2024 & 2nd Team All-State 1A in 2023. Greer played a pivotal role in helping Bolles reach the State Semi-Finals where they fell to eventual State Champions, Benjamin. Boree is a difference-maker on the draw as he is arguably one of the best face-off specialists in the 2026 class. He has the game-breaking ability to quickly gain possession within his cross & take it to the house singlehandedly. Boree will mix it up by reverse clamping & placing the ball through his legs advantageously to a wing. He uses his low center of gravity to box out & fight off the opposition within the positional breakdown. Greer takes a laser swipe at the top of the ball as a counter move where he can use his size & speed to make a play on the ball. Boree does an excellent job getting his right foot up off the whistle defending any break the opposition would try to pinch & pop forward. He is another big, strong, physical product who controls the pace of the game & puts his team in a position to win.     [player_tooltip player_id='125097' first='Ryker' last='Kemp'] earned 1st Team All-State 2A for the Sharks in 2024. Ryker is a giant on defense, quick & nimble with shuffling or running with the dodge! He has speed & ultimate body control with the ability to cause turnovers with a Kayak Maneuver. Kemp is a dominant center force for the Sharks while also providing additional coverage. He has the textbook fundamental breakdown & is efficient with the squeeze on the double. Ryker gets physical by putting his hands on the ball carrier's hips behind the goal line extended to win his match-up. Hogan was awarded the team's Sledgehammer Award as the hardest-working player! He helped lift the Bucs (11-10) over CSN scoring the game-winning goal in the state championship 1A game in 2024. Campbell is extremely savvy off the ball & just finds a way to score. He has the qualities of a sniper & can finish shots with no angle by sticking it in a corner. Pound-for-pound might be the best shooter on his stacked team as he picks his opportunities to fire away in the big moment. Verbally committed to High Point. He will pop it forward to test his ability to get a goal, assist the point man, or retain possession off the end line by way of a scoring attempt. Keegan's hips are higher than most, naturally allowing him to snap over the ball better than his opponent. He punches down with a rare force where he can generate more pressure using his quick hands. Keegan mixes up his strategy by bumping down the line or reversing back to the draw side wing & giving them an easy pick-up. He uses his mighty frame to box out while kicking the ball to an advantageous space with quality foot-eye coordination. Verbally committed to the Army.     Logan Missett earned All-State (EPCLA) in 2024 with LaSalle (PA). He was named 1st Team All-Catholic in consecutive seasons for the Explorers in 2023 & 2024. Logan is a weapon on defense with one-on-one coverage. His breakdown is fundamentally sound & he keeps his stick in the dodger's gut. Missett is active in his backpedal to engage the dodger with force to the hip. He plays his angles properly without giving up a roll-back. Logan can stand on an island for a merry-go-round dodge, locking up from the top or behind the goal. He does a good job in the heart of the defense sliding with fiery stick checks or dropping a body from a base position. Missett has a timely over-the-head check & can scoop up the ground ball swiftly with ease. He shows a quiet stick & finds the open man in the clear. Logan Missett is a competitor that could make an impact at the next level. Verbally committed to Cornell.     Austin Mickler earned US Lacrosse All-American (FL-Northwest) in 2024. During his junior season, Austin led Gulf Breeze to win the 2A District 1 Championship. Mickler was named the MVP with 64 Goals & 16 assists (80 points). He is credited with 92 career goals. Mickler is a phenomenal dodger with a searing shot. Austin gets his hands dirty in the ride, picking up loose ground balls & intelligently moves it out of the scrum. Mickler is an accomplished finisher with an awesome face-dodge. He is accustomed to playing both ways as a midfielder but is showing more of a surge than ever now switching to attack. Mickler almost exclusively gets to his dominant hand from up top to make plays where he will find the open man or take it himself. He is a substantial threat from deep but also has the speed & power to slash towards the cage.     Giacomo Bollettieri is developing into a magnificent midfielder with the IMG Ascenders. Giacomo uses an abrupt stop & start hesitation moves to obtain an advantage. He has a swift jab step that loses most defenders where he can use speed to sweep across the middle. Bollettieri will body up on defense & use his agility to ride effectively & intercept passes between the lines. He is a fast-paced midfielder who uses speed to get down the alley & fire off a hard shot with either hand. Giacomo can split, roll, or shake his way to a spot to be dangerous. Bollettieri does a good job drawing out a slide & backing out to feed. He can make the highlight reel play with behind-the-back finishing & backhand shovels from X. Bollettieri is a multifaceted player who can initiate from any point on the field & beat you over the top or S dodge underneath & squeeze in a low-angle finish. Giacomo projects to be a valuable asset at the next level with his inherent technical abilities.     Cole Byrant earned 1st Team All-State 1A in 2024. He scored 9 goals & 7 assists for 16 points while scooping up 71 ground balls & adding 60 caused turnovers. Bryant sits down in a chair with his stick out to feel & read the dodger before engaging to make contact. He will force dodgers into a low-angle & work to get backside help after they pass it along. Cole operates a backside plug off of the ball where he can clog the middle of the field & make plays on any forced passes to the inside. Bryant plays with a contagious energy & provides a spark to his team when they need it most. Cole is often involved in the game's most critical plays. He can hit a 65-yard bomb during a 10-man ride & he can use his legs to carry & find the 2-on-1 in transition for a clutch assist. Verbally committed to Hobart.     Caden Hayes earned 2nd Team All-State in 2023 for the Benajmin Buccaneers. As a sophomore, he compiled 38 goals & 20 assists for 58 points on the year. Caden produced 110 career points including 30 goals & 13 assists as a freshman in 2022. Hayes is looking to bounce back his senior season after limited action in 2024. As a junior, Caden registered 4 goals against Jupiter during their first meeting in 2024. He is a nimble midfielder with great acceleration who uses speed & quickness to get within range. Caden has a deceptive wind-up, almost like a golf swing type of shot, that he uses to blast the ball by goalies. Hayes contributes without the ball as an inside finisher who is capable of catching it on the doorstep & finishing by any means necessary, including a behind-the-back! Hayes is arguably Benjamin's best midfielder & is looking to return to form in 2025.     Alex Juhnke earned 1st Team All-State 1A in 2024 & 2nd Team All-State 1A in 2023. Alex is a big-bodied pole who plays physical defense on the perimeter & is skilled enough to hang around in the offensive zone. He causes turnovers by using his stick to poke & pry hands off of the ball carrier's stick. Alex works well in the team defense effectively taking his man into the middle by feeling them with his stick, then sliding with a fundamental inside-out approach at the right time to meet the dodger before they can fire off a shot. He is sound in coverage behind the goal, drop-stepping & shuffling to contact zones around the goal line extended area. Junke does an extraordinary job leaking out over the top in transition & pushing the break for an assist or goal. He has the requisite understanding of time & space while making quick decisions with quality stick work. Verbally committed to Rollins.     Pierce Montes earned US Lacrosse All-American (FL-Northwest) in 2024. Pierce accounted for 56 goals & 60 assists good for 116 points as a junior. He is a lefty finisher who will be a 3-time team captain & is already Oak Hall's career leader with 335 points in three years. Montes is an athletic dodger from behind the goal where he can get to his strength & wrap it around or snipe from further up the hash. He will push it on the right side where he can use a backhand finish, post up on the island, & even put away behind-the-back highlight reel shots. Montes is a creative playmaker who will throw fakes & use deception to open up skip lanes to the opposite wing for a step-down assist. He keeps adjacent defenders ball-watching & then holds them accountable by pumping it into a crease cutter for a simple finish. Pierce can play inside out from a pairs' offense, picking & popping to the perimeter. A consensus 3-star prospect. Verbally committed to Rollins.     Sam Juhnke earned 2nd Team All-State 1A in 2023 & 2024 consecutively. Juhnke is a big-game goalie with innate reactions to stop the ball. He has a well-built stance to maximize his surface area with a strong foundation. Sam is not afraid to stare down the shooters on the wing when holding the pipe & dictating a shot he can snatch up from a low angle. He relies on his quick hands & ability to read shooters to make saves look easy up top across the upper shelf. Sam has a stable presence in the goal, keeping his stick up & using negative hip explosions to get low & smother anything coming at him from high to low. Juhnke plays fast & can pivot into a position where he is square to the shooter before they release their shot. This helps him track the ball with ease & turn a clean save into a clear. Don't be caught off guard, this keeper can also provide some extra help with his legs outside of the crease. A consensus 3-star prospect. Verbally committed to Tufts.     Koerner Marechek has those Hollywood highlight playmaking capabilities. Koerner is a balanced attacker that can dodge, shoot, & feed. He is quick & intentional in his movement as he carries the ball with his eyes up scanning the field. Marechek is a precision passer who can throw a bullseye dart pass for an assist on the crease. He operates mostly behind the goal or he can sneak up to the right wing where he can sling it off the hip or hitch topside for a fundamental overhand finish. Marechek has soft hands & catches passes with ease. He is exceptional in attacking the defender's approach. Koerner finds paydirt using his body to shield his stick & finish through contact. He has a quick face dodge & strong inside roll to gain leverage in a tight space where he is a poised scorer. Marechek is a dark horse player who will have the potential to elevate his game & lead the IMG program to new heights! Verbally committed to Robert Morris.
