During his incredible freshman campaign, McPartland scored 45 goals and handed out 20 assists as he helped push Scranton Prep to the District 2-2A title. In recognition of McPartland’s outstanding first season at SP, he was selected as a 1^st Team All-District selection. For an encore, McPartland torched opponents on the summer circuit with his elusive change of direction moves and filthy stick skills. McPartland excelled in unsettled action. On a fast break or after he has picked up a GB on a broken play, McPartland swiftly got downhill and put pressure on the defense. On his charges to the net, McPartland did an excellent job of reading the defense and then smartly deciding whether to shoot or distribute. In 6v6 action, McPartland specializes in dodging from the wing as well as X. From those spots, McPartland’s ability to dodge going to his left or right and then shoot with either hand made him impossible to defend 1v1.
