Expert Analysis
Ty Xanders | Prep Lacrosse Scout
Projecting as a No. 2 or No. 3 cover guy at the next level, Strazzini looks the part of a classic Gerry Byrne recruit. He’s instinctual and cerebral down low, sitting in his stance and making life difficult for his matchup, but arguably even more impactful off-ball and as a sliding defender. Strazzini is physical and disruptive, yet plays disciplined and under control, which isn’t always the case with big defenders. Praised for knowing how to use his size to his advantage at a young age, he was a priority Ivy League recruit who flipped from Cornell to Harvard in July. Heading into his senior season, he’ll finally step into a role that will involve him taking on No. 1 attackmen for a defense that lost a five-star defender to Notre Dame, a longstick middie to Princeton, and a goalie to Georgetown.
