Tanner Demling | Prep Lacrosse Scout
Selected to the KSLL’s All-State team, DeGrandi was consistently one of the best goalies in the Commonwealth this past season. The Transylvania-bound shot stopper churned out a senior campaign in which he posted a season save percentage of over 50%. The 6’0 keeper kept to his game all year long as he backstopped the Trinity defense en route to a KSLL title. DeGrandi moves very well in cage, almost always has at least one big stop in tight per game, and is traditionally toughest to beat low.

Saturday was a big day for Trinity’s 11 seniors. Not only would Saturday be their last shot a title but also the day of their graduation. Being one of those seniors for the Shamrocks, DeGrandi came ready to play as he helped backstop an impressive defensive outing. DeGrandi was locked in all game, playing calm and confident. Even when South Oldham did get looks on cage, the Transylvania commit was typically there to make the stop. He made multiple impressive stops on the doorstep and was, as usual, super difficult to beat low.

Heading to Lexington in the fall to play for the Transylvania Pioneers, DeGrandi has turned himself into one of the best and most reliable goalies in Kentucky as the Shamrocks’ starter each of the past few seasons. At 6’0, he doesn’t fill up all four corners of the cage but he does move very well in between the pipes. The senior has proven to track the ball extremely well and is always in position. DeGrandi is exceptionally hard to beat low and has a knack for making a few impressive saves in tight each time he’s out there.
