Amoia’s best sequence happened right in front of me. He dodged down the alley with his right hand, slammed on the brakes to send his defender to the turf, then redodged with his left and finished low-to-low. Listed as a natural righty, he sure looked comfortable with his left, scoring twice more in front of me with that hand: once on a rollback with another low-to-low finish and once on a sweep toward the middle. He brought plenty of heat on those shots, too. As a dodger, Amoia showed more than changes of direction and confidence carrying with either hand. He has the shake to lose his defender, the physicality to lean into contact at the right moment, and the awareness to take whatever the defense gives him.

Luca glides across the field with effortless control, showing a fluid handle and poise well beyond his age. He demonstrated a strong lacrosse IQ throughout the weekend, repeatedly moving contested ground balls into space and using his speed to win the race through the scoop. His GB technique is clean and confident.
Offensively, Amoia was a consistent problem — scoring three goals, twice beating the goalie high-stick side, each time catching the ball in stride and releasing without hesitation. He showed legitimate foot speed, routinely gaining a step on his defender and attacking downhill with purpose.
A high-upside two-way middie with advanced athleticism and natural feel for the game, Amoia is a 2027 to track closely. Very early indicators of college-level projection are already visible in his decision-making speed and recovery ability after contact.
