McCann is one of the easiest players for an evaluator to circle right away because of his size. He is a midfielder who is not afraid to run through defenders to uncork an overhand rip. When he is not trying to run someone over, he does a nice job getting into his matchup to free his hands, whether he is sweeping to the middle or driving down the alley.

Off the ball, he is constantly putting his stick up and looking to stretch the defense as a step-down option. He loves to pound the ball into the earth with his overhand shot, which makes reads a little tougher on goalies.
