This past spring, Wikert posted a ridiculous sophomore season as he scored 44 goals and won face-offs at a 65% clip. Wikert’s dominance at the face-off dot continued across his four games at Liberty National last weekend. His clean pick-n-pop wins sent him sprinting into the offensive end, where he scored and distributed. Wikert’s ability to maintain possession while running through body/stick checks was remarkable. His decision-making while running full speed through traffic was impressive too. Wikert also displayed crafty stick skills, including the ability to finish with either hand. As a bonus to his face-off skills, Wikert showed that he can operate at a high-level in 6v6 action as a midfielder. Wikert was named an All-Star selection after Friday night’s Liberty National Showcase. College coaches need to keep an eye on this extremely talented and versatile specialist in July.
