He recently poured in four goals during a win over St. Edward’s. Mohn is a two-way midfielder who can turn defense into offense in a flash. He is a serious threat to go coast-to-coast for a goal. In 6v6 action, Mohn is a patient dodger who will wait for a high percentage opportunity to develop for himself or a teammate. His quick burst and elusive stick maneuvers enable Mohn to blow past his initial defender, avoid the slide, and then charge to the net for a scoring chance in close. The combination of his field vision and unselfish nature makes Mohn a fantastic distributor. College coaches will love the poise and high IQ Mohn has displayed this spring.      

Jay Mohn brings all the intangibles you want in a high-level midfielder and consistently plays with composure and purpose. At 6’0”, he’s a controlled dodger who changes pace well, gets to his spots, and keeps his hands free to make plays. He reads slides quickly and makes smart decisions under pressure, either moving it early or stepping into space to create an advantage. Jay is a lethal shooter with both hands who can uncork shots from anywhere on the field. Off-ball, Jay does a great job finding backside seams and timing his cuts to become a real threat around the middle. His ability to contribute both on-ball and as a mover makes him a versatile and reliable piece of the Annapolis Hawks offense.
