He was named the team’s offensive MVP for the second straight season with 105 points (51 goals & 54 assists) in 16 games. Jay collected 44 groundballs & registered 6 takeaways as a sophomore. He scored 120 points (79 goals & 49 assists) in 2023, setting the single-season points record as a freshman. Cohn is brisk with his movement along the perimeter where he can pass or score on the run. He is a heads-up dodger with the ability to free his hands against a pole. Jay works predominantly at X or on the left side. He is a nifty finisher in tight & has solid stick skills. Cohn drags up a close defenseman to gain separation from the midfield dodging downhill. He is a versatile weapon who has been named a team captain for the Jaguars. Verbally committed to Harvard.

What Cohn lacks in size, he more than makes up for with his fleet-footedness and high skill level. With excellent vision, he was always dodging with his head up surveying the field for cutters, often tossing some sensational skip passes and making the correct reads in fast break scenarios. He’s got great bounce in his dodging repertoire and was tough to keep up with, doing a great job stepping away from his man to get shots off. As a sophomore, Cohn averaged more than 6.5 points per game and finished with over 100 on the year.
