When a Division I coach was asked who stood out most at the Best in Class event, the answer came without hesitation: “The most college-ready player is Brimhall.” That kind of endorsement speaks volumes — and after watching him perform, it’s easy to see why. Brimhall is a dynamic left-handed attackman with a lethal scoring touch. His shot is one of the most advanced in the 2027 class, drawing comparisons to Brennan O’Neill for the way he hides the release point and delivers with pinpoint accuracy. He pulls the ball behind his body, making it incredibly difficult for goalies to track, and then snaps his wrists at the last second to put it exactly where he wants.
But he’s far from just a shooter. Brimhall’s dodging ability from the lefty wing is elite. He has a smooth, patient approach, using hesitation moves and subtle changes of speed to freeze sliding defenders and create separation. His IQ, combined with his physical tools, allows him to manipulate matchups and control the tempo of the offense. What sets Brimhall apart is not just the production, but the polish. He plays with the poise and presence of a much older player, and his game already mirrors what college coaches are looking for.

At IMLCA, I appreciated how dynamic Brimhill was with the ball in his stick, having been impressed by what he showed as a goal-scorer during his 31-point freshman season. An excellent decision-maker, he’s so dangerous in part because he can produce scoring plays from all over the offensive zone and fill any role that’s asked of him. Down in Florida, the big lefty carried the ball a lot and made some great reads, putting passes to cutters on a rope despite having defenders in his face. While he thrived more as a feeder when I was watching the Hawks, Brimhall is also a powerful and accurate shooter, primarily from the right hash. His growth will be crucial for St. Mary’s and first-year head coach Will Dalton.
