earned Honorable Mention All-State (NCLCA 4A) the past two seasons in 2023 & 2024. He posted 18 points (10 goals, 8 assists), 84 ground balls, & 61 takeaways for the State Champion Gators as a sophomore! Jacob made an impact at Green Level freshman year amassing 61 ground balls, & 42 takeaways in 2023. He might miss some time as a dual-sport athlete with a recovery process (football) but is known as one of the best defensemen in the state when healthy. Fedich is a B1G physical kid who is splendid against anyone’s #1 cover priority. He can be assigned anywhere vs any player on the field & still get all things done with intangibles. Jacob makes well-timed decisions when sliding. He knows when to go where & how to meet someone; leading with the stick, followed by the forearm, following through with the shoulder. Fedich plays passing lanes on the point & can turn a scramble situation into offense the other way. He is an uptempo playmaker with a long pole who will provide a source of energy! Often lining up on the wings for Blalock’s 91 LI squad, Fedich is hard to miss and another ’26 worth highlighting. A physical and athletic presence at 6’0 and 190 pounds, Fedich does an awesome job of using his size to his advantage, which isn’t as common as you’d think for players at this age. Smooth off the ground and a weapon all over the field, he’s got the stick to match along with an excellent arsenal of checks, creating the kind of disruption that causes ball-carriers to stay away from him when dodging.
