Jack Farrington
About Jack
Expert Analysis
Carey Smith | Prep Lacrosse Scout
Farrington’s combination of size (6’3”; 210 lbs.), speed and versatility is unique among 2028 prospects in New Jersey. He can function as an O-Mid and SSDM as well as a face off wing. Farrington fills each of those roles at a high level. As an offensive midfielder, Farrington can get downhill from up top as well as the wing and then sprint past or run over sliding defenders until he finds open space for a rip. Farrington also thrives in transition as a shooter and distributor. At SSDM, Farrington uses his size advantage to get into ball carriers early in their dodge and stop them cold. His forceful crow bars often throw opposing players to the ground and dislodge the ball. Farrington excels at vacuuming up the ensuing GBs and then using his long strides to push the fast break. Additionally, Farrington is a plus player in the clearing game. On the face off wing, Farrington’s physicality, aggressive stick, and non-stop motor make him a ground ball machine.
