The chemistry between Black and Landon Amorim on Big 4 HHH was on a different level this summer. It felt like the two could always find each other through a defense and recognize the perfect time to feed through tight windows. Black can both feed and finish, but I would put him more in the finisher category: both in tight and from distance. Around the cage, he finishes with either hand, knows how to move a goalie, and has the hands to one-time it on the backside. From distance, I like the variation in his releases. He knows how to preload his feet and get the ball off from the same level he received it. Black also adds deception by shooting around defenders to screen the goalie and adding in jump shots with both hands, a shot that naturally tends to freeze goalies.

Black first caught my eye early in the spring at the Inter-Ac Challenge and was a clear bright spot, playing beyond his years for a team that failed to win a game in 2025. He’s another smooth operator who has a knack for creating separation, and he can finish both appropriately and with flair. Black has excellent hands and top-notch footwork, darting around the offensive zone and getting underneath of defenses. He knows how to get himself open and knows how and when to attack his matchup, and when teams don’t slide to him, he’s able to make the opposition pay with his outside shot.
