Listed as a short-stick defensive midfielder, Dylan Gilp Dylan Gilp 6'1" | 175 lbs | M | Left Hand Good Counsel | 2027 MD played far beyond the label at the IL Summer Derby. The lefty was a high-impact presence all over the field, thriving as a true two-way midfielder. Whether it was clearing the ball with punt-return-like speed, scoring in transition, or finishing on the extra-man unit, Gilp constantly found ways to influence the game. He was especially impressive between the lines, consistently coming up with tough ground balls and making smart, under-control decisions in unsettled situations. His ability to get the ball off the turf and push pace without forcing plays will stand out to college coaches. But what will get him recruited is his physicality and defensive ability. Gilp has the quick feet to stay in front and the toughness to win matchups. His motor, versatility, and edge make him the type of SSDM that earns early playing time at the next level.
