When I watched Team America at IMLCA, Cole Frye consistently made plays. He may not be the flashiest mover, but he has a clear impact on the game. He lands sneaky checks in 1v1s, scoops tough ground balls, and when he slides, possessions usually end. One of the most impressive parts of his game is his stickwork. He stays composed under pressure over the midline, even when opponents lock off to test him, and he stays composed to find an attackman. On tape, he also looks capable of drawing defenders to him and can let it fly if you don’t respect him.
