Strong was thrust into the spotlight as a sophomore, taking on most of the Saints’ reps after former Notre Dame commit (and current Navy football plebe) Teddy Androus stepped away from lacrosse. Though the results were mixed—understandable given his youth and SM’s challenging schedule—there’s no doubt the experience was invaluable. Strong is a tough and athletically gifted player who can win the ball out front, secure ground balls, and push in transition, scoring against rivals like Spalding and Severn and other MIAA foes. Heading into his junior year, refining his counters and defensive exits will be crucial, as most of his success came off clean wins off the clamp.
