Amaan Cambrelen Amaan Cambrelen 6'1" | 170 lbs | M/SSDM | Right Hand Legend | 2026 CO earned 2nd Team All Conference his first two Varsity seasons. He totaled 34 points & 51 ground balls in 2024. Amaan registered 22 goals & 12 assists as a sophomore. He scored 19 goals & 11 assists for 30 points as a freshman. Cambrelen also chipped in with 31 ground balls & won 79% of his draws taken in 2023. He is considered one of the best athletes you’ll see on a lacrosse field & a top two-way midfielder in Colorado. Amaan is a five-tool player in the sense that he can face off, line up on the wings, lockdown as a short stick d-mid, sweep over the top, step down shoot, play offense, & clear the ball. He is one of the fastest players around the state with a wide skillset amongst elite competition. A consensus 3-star prospect with the potential to transform at the next level. Verbally committed to Ohio State.

Cambrelen was a priority recruit for the Buckeyes, announcing his commitment to Nick Myers’ program 10 days in. This one may have flown under the radar a bit, however, there’s a lot to love about Cambrelen’s versatility, though he projects as a d-middie in Columbus. He first jumped onto my radar back in the fall, then caught my eye at July’s LI Summer Showdown in one of the last events of the summer. Cambrelen does many things at a high level and always shows off his instincts and nonstop motor. Coaches could feel comfortable leaving him out on an island (and against highly capable dodgers) becuase of his ability to disrupt opposing middies’ dodges. He’s gritty and gets underneath guys, plus, he’s excellent away from the ball and in transition. Bulking up between now and his arrival at OSU will be paramount, but he has all the other necessary tools to be a contributor on a Big 10 rope unit.
