Augustine is an exceptionally smooth midfielder who glides across the field with natural athleticism and control. He’s a legitimate downhill dodging threat, using his stride and balance to create separation before unleashing a heavy, accurate shot. His ability to attack off the dodge while maintaining composure mirrors that of former Sweetlax Florida standout and current UNC midfielder Caden Harshbarger. Augustine’s fluidity, stick work, and vision make him a dangerous initiator who forces defenses to adjust. He has all the tools to become a dynamic two-way midfielder who can contribute immediately at the next level.

Augustine is somewhat of a well-known commodity already, having made a name for himself both against players in his class and for a Culver team that features a ton of promising 2028 talent. At IDX, he posted a two-goal, one-assist stat line in the last game and produced at least a point in each game, but probably could have been even more productive. He showed off his excitable, high-level skill set, willingness to take risks (however, there were times he got a bit too cute), and cannon of an outside shot on the run. The athletic Austin native seemingly had little trouble getting his hands free, but also demonstrated the ability to draw slides and dump it off for a teammate for a goal. He fits the mold of a Culver middie in every sense, and I’m excited to see how he fares as a sophomore.
