Expert Analysis
Eric Bretz | Prep Lacrosse Scout
With his stick skills and knack for picking up loose balls, Franchetti has been a smooth operator for BBL Black and a consistent presence on the defensive end. He possesses an array of takeaway checks in his arsenal and plays light on his feet, helping him move his hips and keep his opponent in front of him. When off-ball, he does a good job of keeping his stick active in passing lanes and displays physicality when sliding. Showing an athletic breakdown and the strength to discourage dodgers at GLE and on the wings, Franchetti is a pest for the opposition and showcases good fundamentals at close D. He may not burn many opponents in transition, but he is sure-handed with the ball and can be a threat when left open on the break and plays a smart brand of lacrosse. It will be interesting to see what kind of role he can earn himself for the Green Wave.
