In 2023, Carle was a freshman starter on a St. Joe’s Prep team that won 14 games and finished second in the Philadelphia Catholic League. On the perimeter, Carle’s size and tremendous wingspan enable him to consistently disrupt passing and shooting lanes. Those deflections and interceptions quickly turn into offensive opportunities because Carle can clear the ball with his solid foot speed and precise passing skills. When he is defending in close, Carle can use his impressive frame to play a physical style of defense. He is also a master at using a well-timed stick check to dislodge the ball. Whether he’s playing LSM or close defense, Carle is an on-field leader who is in constant communication with his teammates. Carle is a multi-sport athlete who is also a member of SJP’s powerhouse basketball team.
