One of the top 2028 defensive prospects in the region is stashed away south of Dover, Delaware. Diem is an athletic and agile LSM / close defender with an aggressive style of play. As an on-ball defender, he can stay glued to an opponent and torture him with slaps, lifts, and pokes. When the moment presents itself, Diem will execute a can opener or unleash a forceful body check that puts the ball on the turf. Diem does a tremendous job of navigating his way over or through screens too. Off-ball, Diem’s slides, double teams, and recoveries are always on point. He is also a master at coming off his man and delivering a perfectly timed trail check on the ball carrier. As a bonus to his defensive skills, Diem is a plus player in the clearing/transition game. College coaches need to stop sleeping on Diem and scout / contact him this fall.
